Australian Open 2010

Nadal.
Some said he will not last and dominate like Roger because of his style of play. I hope they were not right. Now Murray should get to the finals easily now.

I was just wondering that. Yesterday I thought to myself, Have we seen the best of Rafa Nadal. Which thinking back to 2008 is such a ridiculous thing to think of but if you think about it his style is so full of attrition and puts so much emphasis on his body strength and movement around court that surely his body can't take that for a sustained period.

I really hope he can return to that level again. Him and Federer are really a class above eventhough there are some good youngsters in the mix. The Federer-Nadal rivalry was just a joy to watch and follow over the years. The Wimbledon final of 2008 is still the best tennis match I've seen.

That Wimbledon Final was the best tennis match ever

Davydenko might knock Federer out. He is whipping him right now, Federer needs to change strategy and attack the net more.
6-2, 3-1, just broke Fed.

Fed just broke back 3-3 in the second Davyenko is playing well

Federer is in fifth gear
And the crowd is like the cafe. They are pounding on Davy even though he is down spirited right now. Like the cafe, once you make a mistake or error, you get pounded and pounded till your bones are melted.

I know, I know....:)

Still, I don't rate either of them at all. Tsonga's just imploded, and now Djokovic has all the momentum in the third set.

Neither of these will win this tournament. Not a chance.

both equally weak

Tsonga making a lot of errors but he's the more aggressive one, Djokovic keeps it simple and waits for Tsonga to feck up

Djokovic up 5-2. Tsonga really is a nothing player. I never see him as a potential Slam winner.

Something like he would say....

Cilic shouldn't be counted out, but with the form Murray's in it'll be tough. It's definitely Federer in the final though, can't see Tsonga beating him.

Murray's looking so feckin' effective at the moment though. I can't see him being run close by Cilic unless he drops his level. And with a final to play for, I don't think he will.

I've not seen Murray play this aggresively in a grand slam before. Usually he just drops it around the court and frustrates, but he seems to be taking it to them. I'm confident that Murray can do it, but take nothing for granted on his day Cilic can beat anyone.

He's got all the physical requisites but he plays like an idiot. Lots of raw talent, but his temperament is terrible.

He's right. Tsonga has lucked out huge in this tournament. Haas should have at least taken him to five sets and Djokovic is in a different class from a tennis point of view - unfortunately he is also a grade 1 choke job.

Federer is nowhere near the level he was at even two years ago - I say Murray beats him if they meet in the final.

Ok night of tennis ahead of me seeing i cant sleep first up Serena Williams versus Na Li.

That Na Li girl is one toughy. She refuses to go away. I am impressed and will keep an eye for her. Let me check her age. 27, a bit late, but still impressive.
Serena will remember this game for the rest of her life. She can't walk.

Williams was there for the taking tonight but Na Li just couldn't hit the heights of her previous rounds but she will be in the top 10 after this, so lots of time this year to gain experience and wins.

We are underway in the Murray match now and a 2-1 lead for him although he did have a chance to break Cilic first service game but didn't take any of the break points offered.

Murray needs to stop being so passive. When he opens up he's hurting Cilic. That said, Murray knows the longer this goes on the better the chance he has, given how much more tennis Cilic has played.
