In my opinion something does need to be done about reinforcements.

I've got zero money left and the only realistic players I could sell wouldn't raise me enough to do anything with. Pretty certain I'm not the only one in this boat either.

I don't want a GOAT fest and have pointed out a few times that the draft was intended to stop people having full goat teams, however there needs to be some sort of change in the teams between rounds to prevent it getting stale.

A mid sized bonus to keep people away from GOATS (without selling someone close) would make the most sense really.

I liked my idea but no traction.

8 150M players left. all advancing managers get randomly drawn one. Choose to use the player or sell back to bank for 100m.

Yeah that would be an issue. It's why we've always had reinforcements, no one wants to see the same teams the whole tournament.

Doubt anyone can upgrade their team by taking a loss on the sale.

People who have saved up can add decent players which would move the team sideways at best.

Trades apart, there will likely be no activity.

Too easy to get a goat though, you're literally being handed one. And if they don't fit sell and replace with another WC player, plus possibly upgrade another position.

Like I said I'm not expecting it to be easy but there has to be something.

With the current situation the only possible upgrades is selling your Goat player and replace with 2 semi great players. For example selling Maradona to get Zidane + someone else.

Not the best situation though and a lot of managers would consider that to be actually downgrading the team based on how the votes are often on big name players

I like it too.
Even though people get a GOAT, the teams are still far away from being all time level teams. Not even near. Also, doesnt need to change any resale rules and keep it fair for eveyone.

From the next round, we could move to a lower tier with similar rules.

The randomness keeps it interesting.

Binning players at base won’t be totally fair either. For example if someone bought becks at base of 80m then he gets the whole back while someone who fought a bid war for Chumpitaz listed at 30m and bought him for 70-80m, has to take a significant loss. You can’t drop rule of selling back to bank at loss now since that didn’t take original base price into account at all.
 
My proposal is we that people can swap players from the available pool of losing team in following ways -

- maximum 2 swaps
- swapped player buying price in auction should be less or same.

So for example I can swap Keane with any player who was bought for 80m or less in auction

Yeah I am on board with this.. Somehow the price we paid for players should be accounted for when we are reinforcing teams

Agree the buying price of players should be a factor, but don’t like this at all.

Why not just keep the rules around selling players to the bank the same, but give each manager another 50m-100m.

All anyone really wants is the opportunity to upgrade the team in some way. Not sure why it needs to be so complicated.

Bank will only buy at base price or discount...Assuming base prices for Becks and Chumpitaz are 80m and 30m respectively...

Under Old Proposal
Person who sells Becks gets 60m
Person who sells Chumpitaz gets 10m​

Under new proposal
Person who sells Becks gets 80m
Person who sells Chumpitaz gets 30m​


Whatever happens it is equal to both players, right? Under new proposal both get 20m extra to spend.
