Auction-Trade Madness Draft

If people dont think prices bought for should matter, lets have the bank refund whatever we bought the players for rather than sell at base price.

Whatever happens it is equal to both players, right? Under new proposal both get 20m extra to spend.

If rules were made like this from the start, do u think people wud have entered bidding wars? Everyone wud have gone for base prices. Why even have an auction draft when the rules favor getting players for base price.

Actually, I was just going back to the existing rules. It is favourable to those who have purchased for more than base price. If at base price, then discount applies.

Going by your example:
- Manager A selling Becks who was bought at 80m (Base Price of 80m)
- Manager B selling Chumpitaz who was bought at 80m (Base Price of 30m)

Under reinforcements,

- Bank will pay Manager A - 60m (less 20m loss)
- Bank will pay Manager B - 30m (loss already more than 20m so base price applies)

Existing rules apply. No change.

I'll just add $50m bonus kitty.

Yeah that’s an issue. So much in this draft seems geared up towards avoiding bid wars which is odd for an auction draft.

Makes sense. Teams should get stronger each round without being able to jump straight to lots of GOATS, and also don't think you'd end up with a full GOAT team in the finals.

The price bands were a good addition but you needed to limit the pool by adding some restrictions that would have made even some low priced players more valuable to everyone

That's perfect actually and I think what we discussed with @Raees .

You can sell to the bank at base price(if you want to trade it should be for profit) and additional 50m per round.

So basically we stick with EAP original rules but with extra 50m bonus. Seems fair to me.
 
Not that we have less excitement here, but just to remind you that we'll be trialling an Panel for R1.

What this means is that both managers will send me the formation picture alone. Not mandatory, but if wanted you can add in short description (less than 100 words) to highlight any special tactic/gameplay.

All 8 matches will be put in in a single thread (8 different vs posts) with commentary. The thread will be open for neutral commentary (as in don't push your own teams/matches)

We have 3 panelists (Gio, antohan and harms) who will each PM me their results prediction (who wins, no scores) within 24hrs. The PM's will be seperate so they are not influenced by each other.

I will tally up the votes and announce results in match thread.

wasn't the trade at loss clarification if you can sell at base price to the bank and the latter taking 10m cut?

The draft games a really subject and each to their own, 5 would be better as you will get a stronger consensus.
