Arturo Vidal

He would open us up to quite a few options tactically and you don't say no to a player of his quality.

should i apologize for that to? :p
It's too.

We're a desperate bunch. No credible info that we're even after this guy > 3800 posts.

We are. But this is a dream signing, built up because he is the best CM in the world today, a position we have desperately neglected for years. Best to drop this charade and join in like your heart deep down wants to - at least you can have the memories of fantasising about him in our team. And trust me, they are amazing

The memory i have of Vidal crunching into Gerrard in the first minute at Anfield is something i will take to my grave!

My personal favourite is Vidal crunching a volley into the top corner and then bulldozing Kompany/Terry/Gerrard as he celebrates!

What about the time he charged Yaya Toure into the advertising boards. Ironically advertising cakes!

Yes. It would imply that was what Van Gaal wanted, that was what he thought was for the best, so yes I'd do it in the name of squad balance. Would be quite an economical way to do it too, shifting expensive players and not actually spending real money.

Delighted di Maria is our big signing this season and not Vidal.

For some reason, this brought bad memories of Rafael crunching Gerrard at OT last season in one corner.
Then 1min later conceding a pen with a ridiculous handball at the other.

Rooney+Nani+Evra for vidal. Would you guys take it?
That would be amazing, imagine the money in wages we would free up. I would be sad to see Evra go though. We could utilize Mata and Kagawa better. Then we could get Di Maria, Daley Blind, Hummels and Depay. You have ignited my inner muppet, stop it:drool:

This thread with nothing to go by has managed over 100 posts today.. How nuts will it get if something would happen...

I think you could do with a player to dictate the tempo ala Carrick (at his best) or Modric and a defensive midfielder.

Signing two more, cheaper, midfielders for a midfield 3 would be more beneficial than just signing Vidal in my view.

Although I'm not sure who you could sign to perform that role. Gustavo would be a good choice for the DM, or Martinez although expensive. Think Carvalho is stupidly overpriced though would also fit the bill.

Unless you guys think Carrick could do it next season next to some more energetic midfielders who offer him cover?
We've got the player to dictate our tempo(herrera). Now the question is whether we're playing him with a holding midfielder or a more box to box one, looks like we're choosing the latter.

Holding mids are overrated. City just won the league without one and that's what we'd be looking at doing. Having two, two way players in our midfield next season. Trust me, the vidal-herrera combo would be the best in the league. You seem to underrate vidals defensive work, I only know two midfilders with similar level of defensive play(martinez and jedinak)

I can't see this happening. My time will now be spent in the Di Maria thread.

That fcuking Pogba is going to screw us over again. I think we could offer 50 Million + Nani + being reasonable about Evra and Juventus still will turn us down. Reason being is they know Pogba will be leaving in the next year or 2 for a huge sum, so they aren't really too concerned about the money at this point seeing as they know that people will pay the insane amount they value Pogba at.

I think that they would rather sell Vidal than Pogba. Vidal's value will decrease on the next few years (he is 27) while Pogba is young and his value will only increase. On three years they can sell Pogba for 50-60m, while on three years no-one would be willing to pay even 20m for Vidal.

And get trashed in Europe every year. It's fine in the league, you'll smash the cannon fodder, but pretty much every top European team has one. I don't doubt Vidal's defensive work but he does go forward a lot and leave gaps.

It's all speculation of course, but I think it's the opposite. They still want a top team, money isn't everything, and they have a better chance of keeping Vidal than Pogba. Vidal seems to love Juventus, whereas with Pogba it's inevitable that he will leave.

They can't bank on Pogba being their next summer and they can set their price because some idiot be it Madrid or PSG will pay it. If they keep Vidal now, they will likely keep him for the next few years because as you pointed out his value will decrease and he probably won't have that many better options than Juve. It's like Sneijder when he was at Inter.

Come on Woody. Get it done. I want to wake up in the morning. Check twitter and see this deal has been done. I will instantly cancel my 5am babestation w@nk and become semi aroused over the thought of Arturo and Ander doing the Biz next season

You wake up to wank?

Bayern played without one the season they won it. If he plays in a two he obviously won't go forward as much as he does now.
