The point about Calciopoli is the thing that turned me off talking to them. Several of them actually think it was a joint operation between Moratti and Berlusconi to screw Juve. I've also heard several allege the ref at Old Trafford during the Champions league final was bought and paid for by Silvio. What burns them is the fact that for such an Iconic club (and they most certainly are) they have as many European Cup wins as Porto.
What does that say?
It also says Vidal is likely to start the season opener against Chievo on Saturday.
Yet apparently he's unfit and training separately from the squad? It also says Vidal is likely to start the season opener against Chievo on Saturday.
Muppets don't forget
Call me whatever you want ... doesn't change Pexbo's horrible revisionist history.
They are made for each other.
That's that then. Can't see him moving now.
Ahh well, to the Carvalho thread!
Were you crying as you typed this?
The people who have said we've never placed a bid are the same people saying we've been bidding all summer, or at least "preparing a bid", whatever that means. I really think all the journos are clueless and none of the information - pointing to it being on or off - has been reliable at all. There's obviously been interest from us for all the rumors to have come from, but how far its gone i really think no one except United staff, Juve staff and Vidal himself knows. It will go down to deadline day, no confirmation will happen either way until then. I agree now it looks unlikely, but still all our other transfers have happened quickly after they broke news.We still haven't even placed a bid. I'm not sure how "on" this ever was.
I have read it sooo much on this forum people saying we haven't even bid for him, they don't realize we don't operate this way, the way we do is we usually talk to the players through agent first and ask about how much interested the player is joining the club, although it could be termed as tapping up but that's how its done these days, then we would talk to the club, and how much they want for the player, and then try to negotiate and then when we usually bid its the price actually been agreed, so it will only be a matter of time before they accept the offer and then other things are mere formalities. So calm down i am not saying its happening but i would be not down to not making a bid.
It's not over yet. We've signed massive players on the last day before. Rooney, Berbatov...
He's only small if you take his wig off.Fellani...
The fact we are clearing out Kagawa and Cleverley is to make room for new players. I am certain Vidal is coming, I just have a feeling.
I won't be too upset if he ends up staying, but I hope we atleast try/have tried.
Yep. A public bid is most often the last thing in a transfer. It's funny to read people chucking their toys out the pram when articles are written about how United haven't submitted a bid yet for Vidal.True.
Whats more, people on here seem to have this strange notion that a bid is some sort of clearly and officially demarcated, and (more relevantly) public and transparent part of a transfer. Like unless there is some sort of official statement on both club's websites giving details of a bid, then neither club has negotiated a fee.
The concept of an "official bid" is pretty much meaningless. All you ever hear about a transfer before it happens are reports of varying strength about what a club may be offering. There is no way of knowing whether United have "bid" or not for Vidal, but I find it pretty unlikely that our people haven't discussed prices with Juve's people.
As opposed to chucking their toys out last year when we did make our bids for players public.Yep. A public bid is most often the last thing in a transfer. It's funny to read people chucking their toys out the pram when articles are written about how United haven't submitted a bid yet for Vidal.
There can be confirmation of how much the transfer fee is privately between clubs. Last year United chose to make that info public. I think the chucking toys out last year was because the transfers never materialised. People were muppeting when Moyes confirmed the Fabregas bids.As opposed to chucking their toys out last year when we did make our bids for players public.
Well, there's only one solution, don't bid at all and wait for the player to approach us. Be strong and sexy, don't whore yourself out Ed!
Interesting, anybody know if it is the same cruciate ligament that Vidal has?
If medical staff are advising LVG to not the the chance on Vidal, I will agree with them while crying my eyes out.

Fletcher, Anderson
Currently injured: Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera
I refuse to believe that we're not finalising something.

Di Maria as well. The injured players will not be injured forever. And, we could still cancel Cleverley's transfer.Fletcher, Anderson
