Looks like we've given up on this one, for whatever reason, and moved onto Carvalho as our back up target. Need to move quickly now.

I think that was me. I said we are 10 years late on the Mexes deal.
 
I thought I'd take a look back at how far any Mexes thread got, back in the day... bizarrely it turns out there have been over 40 of them, none of which made three figures.

This much is clear. Its weird. They can't stop talking about him, and can only manage to come out with wishy-washy statements like: 'we don't think he will leave in the coming days'. Completely refusing to rule out an exit.

Oh, you mean hell (with the fire and the flames and the pointy sticks etc) yeah, got that that's why I said "50 more pages" in the first place to make Vidal a red devil!
I'm so relieved … I thought you were saying if it doesn't happen I'd be sent back to the Newbie section and that's much worse!

Seems to be a lot of negativity imfxbicxn this thread.

I'll be back in half an hour, I'll be expecting everyone to have sorted their lives out and got this back on track.
 
Not afraid to contradict themselves the Daily Star have:
  • insisted for the last 48 hours that Vidal is a done deal (even quoting tranfer and wage amounts)
  • retracted their statements when it looks likely its off (lame second hand tweets)
  • now they're saying it's back on if Manchester United "force" a little pea into an old lady!
Have they no shame?
