Are you joking mate??????????

Woodward should just buy him for that price!!!!!!!!

Then i would feckin drive to Torino, drive Vidal to Manchester and buy him a hooker in every country we are driving through

Sounds like a very bumpy ride to me.

Does anybody know which "reports from Italy" have him as choosing United over everyone else?

well if we planned to get Cavani for £50m would love Vidal instead

Daily star also report he prefers a move to us than the rest. Not a source I would believe in though.

Read some Juve forums and it seems that they would be willing to sell Vidal to raise the money for Sanchez.

They'd rather Vidal is sold than Pogba, since Vidal's value is at his peak, while Pogba's will only grow.

Maybe it will happen... :D

vidal would be a dream signing.

What's happening with the newbs at the mo, seems a lot of them are being promoted with 10 likes and only 100 posts, is it getting easier?

I think we got moved up, I had 10 likes for ages and I guess others were on 9, then we all moved up at once?

This is just bonerific. There's been a lot of concerns about the lack of a 'true' defensive midfielder but with those two there its simply not required. Get them working as a unit and it's one goes, one sits, they have both very good defensively. It would be an absolute nightmare for opposition to pick our midfield up.

I wouldn't flinch at paying that. I'd also get in De Jong on the cheap. If we're sorting out the midfield this summer then it best be done properly.

Not sure about De Jong but we shouldn't hold back if we can get Vidal for 45m. Still can get 4-5 years out of him easily. While we are at it, throw in Nani in the deal and make it 30m+Nani to start with.

Really? All I read was the Juv fans slating Redcafe's fans:lol:

Excluding Anderson, if we get Vidal our central midfield will be:
Vidal, Herrera, Carrick, Fletcher, Fellaini, Cleverley. If we get Vidal, I hope we can get someone offering 15m or more for Fellaini. Next year or in January, we can go for Strootman as Carrick and Fletcher are past their peak and won't be around for more than couple of years. Hopefully Cleverley comes good under LvG.

Why? Because we caftards are talking with Vidal's agent or something and convincing him to move Vidal to United? Or are we pooling money to help United with the bid?
It is Juve's mouthpiece tuttosport which is actively spreading news and we are just discussing that speculation.

I know, right? They're all sucking Ed Woodward's $#@! after the last two signings they made, both that don't exactly set the heart racing TBH. I still can't believe the amount they spent for Luke Shaw. Potential or not, that is seriously mental.

Yet Carrick will be/or is 33, and IF we make it back into Europe next season he'll be 34. Imo he needs replacing this summer. Id go a midfield 3 of Vidal, Herrera and Mata. Mata being the furthest forward. Vidal destroying, Herrera supplying Mata and the wingbacks.

What am I on about we won't even sign Vidal
I agree that we should look to replace Carrick this summer but playing Vidal as a destroyer would be a misuse. In that case we may as well by the much cheaper De Jong, who is an actual destroyer, much better equipped for the task than Vidal. Vidal is an immensely gifted footballer who must be given the license to attack. He's dynamic and tenacious but he's still more an attacking CM than a defensive one.

That looks more like a Liverpool fan quote than Juve fan quote to me.

And not exactly much wrong with what the Juve fan said. They probably don't realize that much of what is said in the Studward thread is in jest, but they would surely think that paying £27m for an eighteen year old full back is excessive considering that not a single player on their team (apart from Buffon fifteen years ago) cost more than half that amount.

yup, i would not call vidal a destroyer but he is capable of covering the midfield very well, one of the very few box to box midfielder left i believe. even herrera can be groom as a box to box too, i know he does play a bit as an attacking midfielder at bilbao but his tackling and interceptions stats makes you think he is very good at pressing and defending as well.

i would not mind de jong. he would instantly add steel into our midfield. would be a cheap signing too if available.

incredible to think that our midfield could be massively upgraded in just a summer. make it happen ed!

Herrera was actually only moved up to the no. 10 position this season. He says he prefers to play as a no. 8. I have my doubts about the two together in a two-man midfield but we'll see what van Gaal is planning.

All well and good. How does that relate to Vidal transfer and us at redcafe?

Don't know what the context is, that quote in itself doesn't sound too bad.

Well, the poster above informed that Juve fans on some forum are slating us (at redcafe) in their Vidal thread. Got me perplexed because I don't see what is wrong with us getting excited at signing a world class player especially when Juve's mouthpiece is spreading the news and discussing it.

Anyway...back to topic...

 Because we apparently spend more than all the other clubs and yet talk shit about their spending. I've had to go and defend us on that forum!!

IMO they're getting a bit worried about us. I just saw a post on their forum which said we bid £45 million for Vidal.

Also people outside the uk probably haven't even heard of him.

They are going right nuts in the Juve forum. Hysterical bunch but understandable considering they might lose their best player.

Vidal moving here would be great, but it's one of those ones where it's simply too good to be true.

I don't think there is any intention from the club to sell or him to move, and if he does it will be to on of the oil clubs.

Yeah well I think everyone knows that this transfer would be incredibly hard to pull off. Juve don't want to sell and Vidal seems to love them as well. Only way I can see us getting him is if Juve is forced to sell to spend themselves.

Explain. Do you want me to give net spend of clubs in premier league for last 5 years, last 10 years, since start of premier league and show how United are not the highest spender? I am not even bringing in Real-Barca-PSG etc in it.

Cannot see this happening. I think we will be worlds apart with both the fee and the wage demands.

If you did run through the juv forum, they are comparing our spendings with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City. They mentioned we keep bitching about Chelsea and Shitty buying titles with their money, yet we are the ones spending the most.

Yes, in terms of net spend we will be better off than some clubs stated but ultimately their point is we spent the most.

The option would also be there to play:

-------------------------Carrick---------------------
-------Herrera--------------------------Vidal---------

in tougher games, which would be an extremely solid looking unit.
