I still don't know if any of the 3 parties are interested in this deal and I have been following this from day 1.
Blind is probably the back-up option if Vidal doesn't happen. I highly doubt we're interested in De Jong.
Why wold you highly doubt it? He's Dutch, van Gaal likes him, he suits our exact need, and it's been widely reported that he could be one of the next 2 signings after Di Maria.

After LVG's words I think we are odds on for Vidal...not sure whats up with Blind, the only reason we are taking so long to buy him is that he is plan B to Vidal...otherwise he would be here by now. I still think we can use Blind for the cover he provides.

There is no way LvG hasn't been made aware of our fans obsession with signing Vidal this summer. Every @ManUtd tweet has been followed up with hundreds of 'sign Vidal', 'Vidal', 'that's not Vidal', 'I don't care, buy Vidal', 'Vidal Vidal Vidal' type comments. I imagine facebook and instagram accounts are drawing the same type of replies. Him dropping Vidal's name into the presser, totally unprompted (he wasn't asked about him by any journos) was basically throwing in a grenade. First mentioning Di Maria's name with Ronaldo's, then mentioning Vidal with Messi. It wasn't accidental, the question is will we do it?
