I keep reading about Hargreaves knee, but surely he would have passed a stringent medical. After all, the insurance company wouldnt pay out if they thought it was a pre-existing condition?
I don't know where the stuff with his knee comes from. It was his leg he broke the season before he joined us, wasn't it? Pretty sure those cruciate issues or whatever they were basically didn't exist at that point.

He had patellar tendinitis. It is possible it was linked to altered biomechanics from his broken leg. Unlikely, though, and not the sort of thing you'd pick up at a routine medical anyway.

Did anyone else hear Darmesh Seth say there could be potential bad news re:Vidal from mid-day today or was I hearing things?

Meanwhile, the Spanish press are reporting that PSG are trying to sell Lavezzi to Juventus to raise funds for Di Maria. Sounds like there may be a move chain forming. The trouble is that we might be hoping to be sat in two different places in the chain.

Everybody assumes they're just going to run yesterday's "He isn't leaving" comment from Allegri. Though they could just as easily tell us that Martinez is injured and Bayern may decide to go shopping.

Sky just reported the Allegri quotes but Darmesh Seth said 'something tells me we have not heard hte last of this in this window.'

I hate him, I hate Sky, I hate the new set, I hate how they big up the transfer window rather than the new season with their pathetic rumours.

Rant over.
I particularly hate the use of lower-case letters on SSN. I think that's an important point that you missed out.

Who do you think we'll be after next year?
If we start a thread now, it could beat this one.

he's not coming

we haven't even made an actual bid have we? if we were interested why wouldn't we have bid by now?

there are 3 possible scenarios I see

1. we're not in for him
2. we are interested, made an enquiry, got quoted a price, are gonna hold off and offer much less
3. 2 involving a complicated deal with Nani and or Chicharito (which I find unrealistic)

I'd say 1 is most likely

I'm giving up - good luck muppets
Thread of the Summer easily, I love it:lol:

Now Martinez and Thiago are injurred I could so see Bayern suddenly showing interest in Vidal and then seeing it wrapped up in the space of a couple of days without their fans even blinking an eye about all of it. Just like last year with Thiago.

Thiago was all about Pep.

I don't think we're in for Vidal anymore. I think we lost interest after we learned about his knee (especially with Hargreaves still fresh in the club's memory), but the saga will go on and on until the transfer deadline, just like with Sneijder, Inter were trying to play hard to get to be able to sell him for an inflated price, but we acted wisely and refused to be drawn into the media hype. Next thing we know Sneijder couldn't even find a big club in Europe to play for.

Vidal is rubbish anyway. I don't know why any of you want him.
oh God, please bite.
We should never try to sign players from Italian teams. One way or another, it's never worked out.
