Arturo Vidal

So Vidal day version 38 isn't going very well either?

I've only just noticed that City have finally got round to finalising the Mangala deal. The length of time that and the Costa deal took to push through boosts my hopes with how long this is taking

A level results day is on Thursday - apparently Woody plans to keep everyone happy by announcing this on Wednesday night.

For once why can't we have a 15k+ post thread and actually end up signing the player as well. All of the muppet transfers have always ended in disappointment.

Can't help but feel that if this was going to happen it would have happened already.... At the same time though, somehow, I still believe we're going to get him.

I actually hate the f*cker at this stage and don't want him anymore.
Don't be like that. Seeing as it's Sir Matt's birthday have some Arturo cake.

I didn't came to this thread since a month and nothing has changed....

I said that Vidal will not come because of Juve's resistance and the price tag

I've another concern, the fact that I don't see him been a star in this 3-5-2 because he's like Herrera, more a box to box player, and we probably need a defensive one there

So IF King Arturo comes, will we play in a 4-2-3-1 ?

Nope, I don't think he will. He wants Mata, Rooney and van Persie all in their best positions and I don't think he'd have enough confidence in our defenders right now to go that way.

Still 3 weeks left in the window mate, anything's still possible.

We don't have to change the system when we get Vidal...we'll have to definitely change to 4-3-3 when we get Di Maria though.

He's in red in the bright and colourful beach scene on the left, hinting to him being hooked towards his red future, after his protracted holiday and the right, a dark sunset hinting his departure from his juve past, don't know what the feck the bottom part of the pic means (must be Manchester the city and he's about to take a dump on the blue half and on Vincent Komoany (their no4) or he wants the no 4 Jersey; but it's on like donkey Kong:

Don't Juve play in the same formation that we do at the moment? 3-5-2? So Vidal would slide straight into centre mid.

Hahahahahahaha

reports that his agent is in London, so what?
Is there any reports of our people that matter in transfers are also in London, if not , it make not a jot of difference.

Chelsea are in London, and they need Vidal more than we ever would. Mou has only got 26 midfielders to choose from at the moment.

Firstly, Vidal is much better defensively than Herrera.

Secondly, why would he be a better fit in 4-2-3-1 than 3-5-2? If anything, the latter gives him more freedom on the pitch with 3 CBs and 2 wingbacks, while in the former midfield duo usually stays deep.

I expect us to stick to 3-5-2 for at least 2 seasons (if it works, of course) and Vidal is perfect for that one.

Edit: Also, as @LennonNL mentioned, Juve used 3-5-2 frequently so it might turn out he knows this system already well enough.
