Arturo Vidal

Been travelling the last week or two so I'm out of the loop, is it still safe to assume we're not signing him?

That is extremely unlikely. The longer this saga drags on the more unlikely it becomes and to me there hasn't really been anything concrete in the first place like a reported bid like in the case of Shaw. All the trustful sources have said is that we are preparing a bid, which means basically nothing. We have also already spent a lot of money this window so I don't except us to sign a top cb AND Vidal, because Vidal would cost ridilous money like closer to 50m £. At any rate judging from the way we have made our bids this summer and the rejected Vermaelen bid, I think we will go for one more defender this window and that seems to be LvGs priority as well since he has said so himself. To me this whole saga has only dragged on and gained so much wind, because it's Manchester United being linked to a world class midfielder that we desperately need so journos pretend to be in the know, because like in the case of the Chilean newspapers they probably got more clicks then they normally do in a year. It's good money for them. Because of this there is one saga like this every year: Sneijder, Özil, Benzema, Thiago, Fabregas and so forth.

Seeing Paddy in a Juve jersey has really hammered it home for me; he's really gone. I really really hope he's putting in a few words for us.

If we dont sign Vidal it will take the good out of any more signings for me! I'd much rather Vidal than Di Maria. We need him more

But why do people want Vidal to sign on their Madrid shirts or Arsenal shirts when he isn't their player?

I wouldn't want Pirlo to sign on my United shirt

Reminds me of this.

Vidal now needs to show up at Old Trafford without permission of his club on the last day of the window.

Vidal last night in the open day training in Sydney was only doing light running and training on his own.

He also hasn't taken part in the game against A League All stars.

Don't know but that isn't the point, the point is people are saying it looks like he's coming due to him signing it.

People aren't saying why did the fan get him to sign it, they're saying why did Vidal sign it and the answer is because he is walking along signing autographs and someone holds out a United shirt so he signed it, just like he probably also did with lots of other clubs shirts.

Mmmm...didn't Allegri or Moratta say he will play in that game?

Why would anyone even believe there's a chance he could go to City?

They can't afford him under any circumstance if they sign Mangala, it's that simple.

I know you all want Vidal, and believe united need Vidal, but Juventus are currently trailing 1-0 to the A - League All Stars and appear to badly need Vidal to stay. Juventus's team is containing Buffon, Evra, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Tevez and Llorente.
Didn't we beat them last pre-season?

Jesus! That's bad! Mind you only pre-season but a very sobering thought when you think we beat them under Moyes tenure!
The A League all stars were coached by a guy who used to be a youth coach at Barcelona, so it's no massive shock to me Juventus didn't have it all their own way, but Juventus should have been so much better. Dare I say it, they really, really need Vidal to stay.

Oh dear! Haven't they signed extra players to play Vidals role though, due to his recovery? Did they not start?

They still had that extra quality when it counted though; gutted for the All Stars lads. We deserved that game.
