It's still pre-season and only the second game for them, isn't it? All abit of over-reaction I thought
Under Moyes, United smashed this lot 5-2. I will admit I'm trying to show the a league in a positive light, but Juventus didn't put out a second string side by any stretch of the imagination.

I wouldn't mind a 'big' team taking on the A-League All Stars every year actually. More opportunities to watch the teams here on Sydney and we get to expand our league onto the global stage.

Allegri is not a top coach/manager in my opinion, it would have been more difficult to lure him if Conte was still in charge.

Allegri will basically be their Moyes. Hopefully it helps convince Arturo to go.

Is Allegri really that bad? I mean, I know his time at Milan didn't end too well but he did win the league with them. Plus they've been on a decline ever since they won that title due to selling their best players and not investing.

Comparing him to Moyes was probably harsh of me but Juve could and should have gotten a far better coach.

Allegri will probably do better in the CL then Conte, which could buy him some credit with Juve fans.

Conte made the quarterfinals 2 years ago, it's a myth that he is a shit CL coach, they just were bad last season and fine the season before.

Guys, have we decided if it's a serious career-threatening injury or not? Because from what I've heard this is the deciding factor in this deal.

Vidal agent arrives in England on Sunday, Manchester United move gets decisive day

Calciomercato in Italy have gone all Miss Marple to try and work out if we'll all get a sign on the Arturo Vidal saga on Sunday. It's a transfer rumour which has gone on for far too long, even if it's not at the Wesley Sneijder level yet. Manchester United fans are used to many of their transfer sagas ending up negatively.

There's been Sneijder, Kevin Strootman, Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas over the last couple of years and not one has ended up with a purchase. Ander Herrera is the exception but even he had to go through one failure of a summer move before finally getting his transfer a year later.

Manchester United fans, scared by the above and other sagas, aren't too convinced Vidal is actually going to happen. Indeed, many in the British media have stated there's not even too much interest from Old Trafford in signing the Chilean midfielder.

The truth is, very few people actually know the truth. Perhaps nobody. Juventus may not even be sure what bid they'd be happy to accept until an offer is actually made and the Italian media have stated so many different numbers as the asking price that it's clear they're not sure of anything.

Calciomercato say that Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich is due in England on Sunday to watch the Community Shield and another of his clients, Alexis Sanchez. Some reports in Chile, say Calciomercato, reckon that Felicevich will then return to South America and, if so, that any transfer couldn't be done until the end of August.

No doubt the Chilean and Italian media will be keeping a close eye on Felicevich's movements on Sunday to see if he pops up to Manchester, flies over to Turin, or goes to South America leaving everything up in the air.

Imagine if Woodward is seated with Felicevich at the Community Shield..

ok sorry my bad.

Still though when it comes to field sports, the knees are injuries that are given serious consideration.
http://www.physioadvisor.com.au/8794150/lateral-meniscus-tear-meniscal-tears-physioadv.htm
Prognosis of a lateral meniscus tear
Those patients with minor lateral meniscus tears that are managed conservatively can usually expect to return to sport or activity in approximately 2 - 4 weeks. For moderate tears that are managed conservatively return to sport or activity may take 4 - 6 weeks or longer.

Minor lateral meniscus tears that are managed surgically can sometimes return to sport or activity within 4 – 6 weeks, although most surgical repairs (especially when the meniscus tear is moderate to severe) will usually require a rehabilitation period of 6 - 8 weeks or longer. If there is damage to other structures in the knee, such as the anterior cruciate ligament, rehabilitation may require an extended period. It is important that lateral meniscus injuries are managed appropriately, as inappropriate treatment may lead to the development of early knee osteoarthritis.

I think we would have heard if there was damage to his cruciate however. I also don't think he'd even be doing the light training he is doing, if there was a cruciate problem.

What is it with the RedCafe Facebook feed and the Express? Every time I open my feed up it pops with an Express article saying, usually alternately, ArtunOFF or ArturON.

The longer this drags on, the less likely it's going to happen. We never learn do we ? :-)
I keep reading posters saying this, but considering we don't know when our interest began, I don't think this has any relevance. Some posters still don't think we are even interested or ever were!

If LvG only became interested after the tour, then we've only been seriously interested for a week or so. Surely Woody has already been laying the groundwork for any transfers, but really we have no idea.

I'm so sick of this saga. It's been wank. I can't help but check the twitter discussion thread every morning when I wake up and inevitably it's a huge let down. Hate it. But I'm stuck in the same lame cycle. Woe is me. I wish I could actually get on with living my life. My wife just doesn't understand.

Man down.

It would be great to have a goalscoring midfielder, but the ship has sailed now that we have Herrera who could help our attack through his through ball and intricate passing rather than goalscoring ability.

I rather we get Strootman or William Carvalho over Vidal at the moment. Maybe Powell can become our goalscoring midfielder if his development does not hit a stumbling block.
