Hmmmm ok, ok I've been pretty damn confident over this the last few weeks for good reason. Can I just say now, officially that my confidence has been knocked.

You can take that as bullshit if you want or believe every word. I don't mind. I don't have much of a rep on here anyway.

As it's a public forum I would like to just throw it out there that I'm not so sure on it anymore.

My God, some of you people make it sound like Vidal had knee replacement surgery and that he's lucky to even to walking again.

Yes of course we have to put Vidal through a medical exam like we would anyone else. If he's a hobbled mess then screw him and screw Juve. Professional athletes get through far more serious injuries than a meniscus tear all the time. If Vidal's surgery was botched our medical staff will pick that up and advise Louis accordingly.

And if Louis says no to the deal because he doesn't like Vidal's haircut, so be it. But if we're going to start nixing deals because a player once suffered an injury of any kind we're not going to have much of a squad. It's just a fact of life in football that players will get hurt and that they will recover. Hargreaves is the exception, a player who either got bad treatment or who just chucked it all in once he got hurt.
Its not the injury that has people (including United) concerned, its the fact that he returned too soon from it and needed injections just to play partial games at the World Cup. That doesn't mean it won't heal 100%, but it does mean that we should be cautious. And it may mean that there is enough risk that, although we want him, we won't break the bank for him.

Just because you found some tweet saying it's off don't despair Vidal's on repair, of he was staying he would have mentioned it in an interview by that's the type of guy he is, after fans asking him to stay he would have told them he was staying ; but he's not, all this it's a show to placate Juventus fans that's why he won't play for them just train on his own , until he signed etc

Unfortunately I could really really see him going to City. It's almost perfect for them, it would be the most stunning piece of transfer stealing we've ever seen. Imagine all of us primed when the text goes up Sky sports: stand by for incredible Vidal news"

Twitter goes nuts, United fans start flapping then it happens, the bombshell Man City: "we are delighted to announce the signing of Arturo Vidal on a four year deal #Manchesterisblue"

I think I'd simply, silently walk out to my stair case, and perform a face dive off the top.

:nono:
Don't push him guys. If anything we should put him on suicide watch.

No Vidal in Juventus lineup against that Australian team, he's not even on the bench. Still injured?

Any truth in the gossip that goes around that he signed a United-shirt with "See you soon - Arturo Vidal", and declined to sign a City-shirt that a kid wanted to have signed? Problary not, but some muppet-info at least :)

Juventus are playing right now but Vidal is not even on the bench. Is he still not fit or is he stalling?

The key thing for me was that it indicated that in his own mind he was off. If Vidal's head is in the same place, that's a very good sign!

Much as I harbour strong doubts that we will get him, he has done nothing himself to stop the rumours, until he does they will continue, must be highly frustrating for the Juventus fans too.

He is 27, Juventus are clearly not capable of paying the big wages some of the PL and la liga clubs are dishing out to even the likes of Young, an ambitious young manager has just left the club because he felt they did not match his thirst for glory and the Serie A isn't what it was as a football league...

So yeah, this is one of his last chances to build a career in a better and more populat league and get paid like the quality player he is.

He wants to leave, but does he want United or do we want him?

Perfect signing for him if they had not already spent the £49 million they were allowed under FFP. Sure they've sold and due to sell a few but they won't recoup the money needed for them to comply with FFP if they buy Vidal.
