I actually think with the right offer Juventus would sell quite easily.

The hardest part would be convincing Vidal to come to us.
 
It would be more reliable if ut was tutto sport. But gds are based in italy and may know something. I think if we offer enough money, he is ours. 50 million euros(40 million pounds) would be enough.
 
Just overpay to get a deal done before Chelsea get Pogba. No way they sell Vidal if Pogba goes, and whichever club gets a midfielder off Juve are going to be far stronger.

I think that Pogba to Chelsea rumour is pie in the sky stuff. They have spent big money of Matic and Cesc in the last year.
 
Gazetta and TuttoSport have been running this story for months now so lets wait and see...

So would I, but if that is the only way to get the deal done, then I would rather we did it. We can buy a cheap back up if needed, like Blind.

I would too - slightly begrudgingly - purely because we would be acquiring the best midfielder available. I would like Blind regardless or whether Evra stays or goes, though if we sign a second midfielder his versatility wouldn't come as too much use.
 
I'm not holding my breath for this. This was my muppet of all muppet signing dreams before the summer began. Never have my muppet dreams come true :(
 
As Sport Witness have said in previous Vidal related articles, GdS used to report that there was absolutely no chance Juve would sell Vidal this summer. The way they've slowly come round to the idea implies they might not be reporting this just to sell papers and there might just be something in it.

With Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal and Pirlo, plus a couple of yet unproven but young talented playes, I can easily see them selling either Vidal or Pogba. Vidal more likely, cause they can make Pogba a star player and main midfielder and cash in on him in a year or two, maybe get Verratti - Pogba swap with PSG or sell him to Real, Chelsea... I think it's more likely they will sell Vidal, cause he is 26 or 27 (not sure when is his birthday) and once he get to 28-29 his value will drop down, plus he will be near the end of his contract... and in Italy nowdays, with €40-45m you can get a fair amount of reinforcements, that Juventus really needs.

And by now everybody on the internet are talking about this, so it seems that it's a possibility we will build a statue to Woodward and LvG before the end of this summer...
 
Just a few days ago I was told in this very thread that I must be bonkers to think Vidal is a possibility. I stuck to my muppet guns. And look now you're all camped out here because you have that ArturON feeling

The age issue is also why I could see Vidal pushing for a sale. He has already won everything he's going to win at Juve. They aren't going to win the CL in his career realistically and I'm sure he, like every other professional footballer, will want to win it in their career.

This doesn't necessarily mean we'll be the club for him, but surely increases our odds.

If Barca are going big for Suarez and the rumours are true that Real are after Kroos, then we might just be his next best option.

It's more because the Shaw and Herrera deals are now done and we not only have nowhere else to be, but we also have our muppet juice recharged by woodies 2 day golden spell.

Tuttosport also ran an article saying we're preparing a bid and that Juve are bracing themselves for it

I can see Vidal leaving, it's either him or Pogba. The media in Italy have been linking Vidal with a move for a few months now, it just depends if the teams interested are willing to pay what Juve want and how keen he is on leaving. Juve want money to buy players, so selling one of their players seems to be part of their plan.

yes but selling on of the main reasons the club is great at the moment is a terrible strategy, as no matter who they bring in the chance of the been as good a team with out pogba or vidal is highly unlikely, and juventus are going to no this, thier not that daft.

think fans are just desprate for us to sign vidal and are clutcing at straws to convince themselves that it might happen

The money issue was not invented by United fans but comes from GdS and Tutto who have been notorious for saying Vidal is not for sale. All of a sudden their tune has changed to well if you have the right amount of cash Juve will listen since they need it to fund purchases in areas they're not well stocked in. Add that to Vidal himself saying he's not sure what will happen then it seems it's not that far fetched of an idea

im not claiming juventus are in great shape, but thier not quite at the fire sale yet, and i personally think they will move heaven and earth to keep their best player while they have a chance.

If Vidal ends up at Bayern, you can see Schweinsteiger being surplus to requirements, and cue more rumours of him ending up at Old Trafford.

All speculation at the moment. It does look like clubs are certainly lining up bids.

The only way Bayern are buying Vidal is if they sell at least 2 of their central midfielders.
If it means us missing out, but getting Bastian for a decent price, I'd be happy enough.

Currently in Vietnam and I noticed earlier one of the main headlines on the sports channel mentioned Utd and Vidal. I asked my Girlfriend to translate and she said it was along the lines of 'Utd to bid £36mil for Vidal' - usually would just dismiss it but channel looked fairly legit and other main headlines were factual (about WC and Wimbledon and something about Higuain and Barcelona).

Rushed to a Internet cafe as subtly as I could without looking a dick and was disappointed not to find anything a little more concrete on the Vidal story.

Reminds me of a time I was in the Far East and it was all over the news we had signed Kerlon... Should have learn't my lesson... :)

Hopefully this time might prove to be successful.

If true that Bayern are interested you'd think that something has come out of Juve that they are willing to listen to offers, which confirms what the papers have been saying.

I just can't see Vidal at Bayern, doesn't seem a Pep type of player, especially if it's true that Schweinsteiger isn't.
 
If Bayern are interested I'd be worried. They rarely if ever miss out on a player. We will almost definitely outspend them on wages, they can match us for a fee but are unlikely to head into a bidding war as they're very sensible in this regard.

Signs point towards us getting him, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vidal choses Bayern for CL football, Guardiola, although he doesn't suit tika taka, I imagine that philosophy is appealing to players.
 
If we want him we're going to have to spend big. And I mean really big. Remains to be seen if Glazers/Woody are ready to do this.

Thiago won't be sold as long as Pep is there, and Lahm won't be ever sold. So, I guess it will be one of the other three. Would prefer Martinez but would be very happy with Schwein too.
