If this happens I'll frame a picture of Woodward and put it on the wall in my brand new house. It won't happen.

Put it on the wall facing your bed. That way every morning when you wake up, you'll see that gorgeous face first thing you open your eyes :)

It sounds as though you've already done that!

I couldn't sleep with those eyes staring. No, it would be the living room for all to see.

Err Ronaldo. This lad is going to be one of the top 3 players in the world most likely and like it or not he will itch to get to barca or real at some point.....

Honestly don't ever think he will be even close to that.

Can somebody help me out - where have these Vidal rumours stemmed from? Not seen one reliable Journo on it yet.

Juve need to sell to buy, They would rather keep Pogba, Van Gaal has talked him up Fergie spotted at Juventus a few times last season and talking to Conte, Vidal admitting he's not sure if he'll be at Juve next season, Italian media mainly Tuttosport and Gazetto dello Sport linking us.

Not at all man. The problem with British & Irish footballers, is that they get it handed to them before they've even kicked a ball for the 1st team. The money & the profile is their main concern & they dont seem to want to surpass their threshold as players. Foreign players have a much better attitude & the better they become - the more they earn & they use alot of those earnings to look after their families & local areas in their homeland.

They're driven for much more than themselves & thats makes them hungry to be better players. English players are notorious for gettin the feck outta the Dodge once training has finished. Many foreign players will hang around with the youth teams afterwards to practice skills. Cantona & Ronnie were famous for it. Becks & Scholesy did that also.

Vidal is someone who plays like he's playin for more than himself. There's no top-class English Central-Midfielder who even comes close to havin that desire. The only other CM player with that same desire, who played in English football in the past 20 years, wasnt even English - he was Irish & he was Keano..

Fletch is in a similar mode to those two, as regards to improve himself all the time. Ironically, it was Keano that said he wasnt United quality & slated him on MUTV. He proved him very wrong & he's probably turned out to be one of the most loved players of all time at United because of his never-say-die attitude.

I surely hope that Fletch has had a good clean bill of health over the summer & has got his fitness in good stead. If we can get him back to what he was for just one season - i dont think you'll ever hear a greater cheer at OT for one of our own...
Yeah I agree with the Fletcher and Vidal comments.

Shame there isn't much in the midfield department for us to take a look at, from a British perspective.

I am now at the stage that if we don't sign Vidal then this transfer window will be a failure. F uck you muppet and f uck you Woodward

Its also a bit silly to suggest we can't get "back up there" unless we get Vidal. We could easily be in the mix for the title and RvP could get 30 goals.

Good job Moyes isn't here any more. We'd end up bidding for Vidal Sassoon.

He'd be umming and ahhing about the decision to go for Vidal or not until the last day of the window, then we'd drop 25 million pounds on Coleman.

No chance. Everton would squeeze us for at least five million more. Funny isn't it but Coleman was actually being touted as a transfer target last summer with Rafael being shown the door. Wonder what LVG will be thinking as far as the right back position is concerned. I can't see him trusting Smalling or Jones there.

It was rafaels only poor season, why should we sell when he's been good for us for the vast majority of his time here.

I don't think we should sell Rafael. I was just wondering what Van Gaal will do. We certainly need cover for that position given Rafael's injury history and I can't see us making do with a centre-half filling in. Maybe Valencia will be asked to play there.

It's not happening but if by a miracle we got Vidal. I'm calling my wedding off because I will be on a 6 month bender until new year.

I reckon van Gaal will do what fergie did in his 2012/13 season, whatever happened there worked wonders.

Do we have any chance to pull this one?Important member of Juve team, with PSG in hunt for Pogba.
Vidal is a brilliant player,no team would be happy to loose a kind of player like him.

If real do jump in and buy vidal it might open up tranfers for kroos or khedira.
So even if we dont get him the muppet fantasy can continue :)

 Class..

If we do sign Vidal, i'll spare a thought for your goodself - after your lady cuts yer bollox off with a rusty Stanley knife & shoves them up your arse. Scorned women dont do the old burn your clothes in front garden shit anymore man - they've gone full hardcore these days.

He's on £300k per week. But a huge chunk of that is from a special image rights deal which gives him a much bigger percentage of the sponsorship money he brings in than your average player, because he brings in so much more than any other player on our books. So it is part of his United deal, but the money isn't coming from the United coffers. Ronaldo has a similar deal at Real.

Cheers for that man.

I knew about that, but thought that money was coming out of the sponsorship being paid to United. So what you're saying is, the sponsors have upped their financing to United to pay Rooney's increased deal?

If not, then its still money thats coming out of United's generated coffers!

My assertion on image rights was that a player gotta share of shirt sales etc. from the club - not sponsors. The sponsors have already done their bit by payin United. Its up to United how they spend that money..

Wait, you've just said that you haven't really looked into it at all, so "as far as I can see" basically means "as reported in the tabloids" doesn't it.

You're acting like a bittuva stuck-up toff with that comment about reading tabloids. I read all types of newspapers & funny enough - financial breakdowns of transfers etc. are covered very well at times in tabloids too. They just like to be short & sweet most of the time - thats the idea behind tabloids..

Sorry if i've insulted your intelligence oh wise one..

The thing is, he sells the most shirts, he sells the most official machester united toasters in singapore.
You have to judge him partly as a marketing product when you get into wages. It isn't just how good a player he is.
I try not to think about it anymore.

Good points man & you're right - thinkin about is just a waste of time..

Its a very telling state of affairs that Rooney is still selling more shirts than any other player at the club though, when he's been in poor form for quite a few seasons since 2010. Last season he wasnt as bad, but no-where near his best. Then again, everyone was shit last season apart from DDG & Adnan was a shining light too, but its a shit situation that our goal-keeper was our best player. That should never be the case, because it reflects badly on the out-field players performances that season. Fantastic Keeper though & all-round good guy to boot..
