Update on the thoughts of the Juve fans

I think its becoming more and more obvious that its Juve that want to sell, as opposed to us wanting to buy.

I wonder if they know more about his Knee then they're letting on.

Bid £50m and get it done FFS. On our end there seems to be nothing but everywhere else seems to suggest Vidal would be open to a move, let's force it FFS. Just got this feeling we aren't going to bid at all which pisses me off considering the Fabregas feck up last year. Juventus are fecking pretty much inviting Vidal to say he wants out and we need to give him an offer he can't refuse and just get this shit done man.

I dont understand how people dont get bored repeating the same stuff time after time after time.

"We dont make deals like this one, do we"

"We really dont. Last time we did it it was Veron, wasnt it."

"Yeah I think so and look how it turned out. RVP was different. He was open to a move... bla bla bla.. "

We don't sign these type of players, do we? World class players in their prime from abroad.

Stam, van Nistelrooy, Veron...

It's not the club's fault that they, you know, adopt a signing policy whereby they sign the best - usually British - players before the peak and develop them. If only we'd sign every overpriced, foreign flavour-of-the-month, maybe we'd win the odd league title...

Do you not think those two are equally as overpriced? Southampton were talking £27m for Schneiderlin, and Carvalho we've heard £30m + fees all summer.
Schneiderlin is really no different than what we paid for Herrera. He had the most interception and tackles combined last season and can also contribute to our attacking play. If you believe Herrera is overpriced, then Schneiderlin is overpriced aswell. If you think not, then he isn't.

Even though Carvalho has a huge potential and he is as good as Javi Martinez at his age, his buy out clause is overpriced. I was thinking like Arsenal we pay £10m below his buy-out and add incentive based of his performance at United. Or add Anderson or one of our other players as part of the deal to bring him here.

I never had you down as a transfer muppet melt downer, ArmchairCritic. You're always so level-headed.

What perplexes me most is people seem to genuinely get angry and het up over transfer activity, or lack thereof as though any of it even matters.

Our midfield malaise will do that to a man, imagining Vidal, Herrera and Mata linking up is too much for me to handle. Also the daily 'Oh it could be on, oh wait it's definitely off, ohhhh it's back on,' is doing my head in, we seem to not be interested but everyone else is insistent we are!

Well it clearly does matter as our squad is a mess right now.

And people get angry because the club have spent the whole season building this Summer up, talking about unprecedented levels of spending, and wanting to bring in world class players. They've raised the expectations themselves, so its understandable that when they fail to deliver on their word, people will be disappointed and angry.

Those feckers just want to blame it all on Vidal. Which raises the question why we take so long instead of bidding those 40 or 50 millions already.

You seem to have missed my point.

Looks like QPR have Island on loan wrapped up. Surprised we didn't look at him, best mates with Vidal and a genuine wing back, could have really helped Rafael develop.

So many conflicting reports. Marotta apparently said he's going on the tour and there were never any negotiations as it came down to the players will, and he didn't push for a move.

However there are tons of papers or news outlets (El Mecurio, Gazetta, La Stampa, Bild and Sky Italia just to name a few non English ones) reporting that he will leave and they all seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet - Vidal wants a move to United.

Look on the bright side: when it becomes apparent we're not in for him we'll probably have the fun of signing someone almost no one considered as a possibility.
Yeah but we've already been linked with every single player in existence?

I read that, then I saw your location and filled with dread.

Who would that be? Assuming we sign another midfielder because it's looks a little unlikely especially if we aren't in for Vidal.

I didnt hear the club "spending the whole season building summer up or talking about some unprecedented levels of spending."
Just that Woodward interview. One interview doesn't mean the whole year of building summer up.

Reading between the lines it's apparent two conditions need to be met

1. A bid of €50m must be made, reports suggest strongly that we have a €60m bid ready to go.

2. Vidal himself will have to hand in a transfer request. Recent reports suggest that he will in fact do that Ince his agent presents the money to the Juve board.

Currently neither of those things have happened but once they do he is ours. nothing suggests that none of those things wont happen. Similarly there ARE suggestions that the bid will go in very soon whether he's on tour or not.

Thats not my fault you missed it.
