Well given there's been no credible source report on our interest this is quite clearly off.

...and another one.

There are no "Credible" sources as far as the British Press go. We've shut up shop completely.

They didn't have a clue about Herrera and Shaw and were even saying they weren't happening when they were in full swing and all the other names they have said we are interested in have turned out to be total bullshit.

All the talk is coming from the Italian and Chilean press who have their own sources.

You're the most tedious person I have ever come across. That's just the first couple of pages of your posts in here. The rest are the same.
It's like he's trying to throw us off the scent and make us believe that we aren't in for Vidal................IS HE EDDY....IS HE EDDY....IS HE EDDY IN DISGUISE?....IS HE EDDY IN DISGUISE?

He can't feck it up again, can he?

When I watched the interview on MUTV and heard the fabled words 'Watch This Space' I was so confident - fully defending him to all the guys at work wanting to have a pop about how we can't get the big names etc.

Roughly 2 weeks on and still nothing - I was sure something would have happened by now - I understand this isn't FM and signing a player happens overnight but Woody came across so confident in that interview.

I'm beginning to think the deals he was appearing to elude to have hit a snag.

I also don't buy this assessment period from LvG, I think he just said that to keep the confidence high in the camp.

There's no credible source reporting our interest in anyone. So what? You think we're done for the summer? Don't you think it's possible we're running a tight ship and keeping our activity quiet, following on from the very public disaster of last summer?

Felicevich is in Manchester according to Tuttosport.

Vidal Week didn't go as we'd all hoped. I thought we'd be seeing pictured of him getting a bollocking from Van Gaal in training by now. But he's fannying about on buses with his Juve mates.

I previosuly really wanted us to sign Blind and part of me still wants us to but the problem is, based on current form, Shaw wouldn't be able to hold his place in the team if Blind was his competition. Not sure it would be in the best interest of developing our young left backs. We could play him in holding midfield but that probably wouldn't suit the current system Van Gaal has us playing.

We cannot opt against signing a player because he might be better than someone we have.

The Shaw deal was well known for a while, the world cup and Southampton losing Pochettino just slowed down the deal.

The usual United 'insiders' were telling us it had stalled and/or that Chelsea had hijacked it. Which turned out be complete nonsense as it had been basically sorted from before the world cup.

If only there was more time left in the transfer window, and the space wasn't only watchable for a limited period.

Which shows what you know from your "credible sources".

The so called credible sources were calling it on and off all through the world cup, talking of Chelsea and Liverpool hijacks and that he has chosen to stay for another year at Southampton.

All the while it turned out it was a done deal before the World Cup even started and it just needed finalising.

According to unreliable Italian paper Tuttosport, Vidal's agent is landing in Turin today to have a meeting regarding Vidal's future. He just had to sort out a Swansea deal first.

Make of that what you will.

Felicevich is in Manchester according to Tuttosport.

Does he have a clone or is this man constantly flying between Italy and Manchester? He must be racking up some serious air miles.

It's unbelievable that Woodwards interview was over one week ago and yet we still havent signed anyone else. WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING?

Feck Shaw, this is United he needs to earn his place in the 11.

But some were also saying it was just a delay due to Pochettino leaving which seemed the most likely because Chelsea were heavily rumored to be after Luis and while Liverpool at the time were after Moreno.

He assisted for a lot of Holland's goals at the world cup so that's not really true. I am not building Blind up to be more than what he is. He's very good tactically and his left foot is a lot better than Shaw's. Part of the problem for Shaw at the moment is that he doesn't understand the wing-back position as well as Blind, so he needs time.

From the little I have seen of him I'd say only his passing range is better than Shaw.

Simple. Woodward said, "watch this space." It should be clear by now to him that our team's problem is, "not attacking the space." We always just watch the space. He should have said "attack the space."

Oh shit, you're right. Some were also saying that.

They were also wrong.

He's The Boss, not The Boss.

Many of the papers including the "reliable sources" reported Chelsea hijacking the deal when it looked like the Luis deal had broken down.
The only one I can remember who didn't flinch was Ogdan

Felicevich is also Angelo Henriquez' agent IIRC and he seems to be on the move to some Chilean club or River Plate on loan.

I honestly don't remember much of the Shaw thread so I might be wrong.

Odgen was Woodward's mouthpiece at the time no?

Italian newspaper Tuttosport is intensifying rumours linking Arturo Vidal with Manchester United, claiming that the player's agent is in Manchester.

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, which is often first with Juventus transfer news, is reporting that Arturo Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich is headed for Manchester.

The future of Vidal has been a source of intense speculation for weeks despite the Italian champions insisting that he is staying put.

It has been suggested that Manchester United could be willing to offer £50 million, which would be a tough sum for the Old Lady to refuse.

Yesterday it was widely reported that United are ready to double Vidal's wages and the player seems open to the idea of the move.

Tuttosport now claims that Juventus fans have reason to fear for the future of the midfield star because his agent is attempting to drive a move forward.

Felicevich is known to be in the UK, but he is thought to be there to complete another client, Gary Medel's, move from Cardiff City to Inter.

However, Tuttosport believes that Felicevich is using the trip to try and convince Manchester United to table the necessary sum to convince Juventus to relinquish their hold on Vidal.

Juventus fans are certain of where they want Vidal to be playing next season and spent much of the Bianconeri's 0-0 friendly draw with Cesena earlier in the week chanting for the Chilean to stay.
