Italian newspaper Tuttosport is intensifying rumours linking Arturo Vidal with Manchester United, claiming that the player's agent is in Manchester.

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, which is often first with Juventus transfer news, is reporting that Arturo Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich is headed for Manchester.

The future of Vidal has been a source of intense speculation for weeks despite the Italian champions insisting that he is staying put.

It has been suggested that Manchester United could be willing to offer £50 million, which would be a tough sum for the Old Lady to refuse.

Yesterday it was widely reported that United are ready to double Vidal's wages and the player seems open to the idea of the move.

Tuttosport now claims that Juventus fans have reason to fear for the future of the midfield star because his agent is attempting to drive a move forward.

Felicevich is known to be in the UK, but he is thought to be there to complete another client, Gary Medel's, move from Cardiff City to Inter.

However, Tuttosport believes that Felicevich is using the trip to try and convince Manchester United to table the necessary sum to convince Juventus to relinquish their hold on Vidal.

Juventus fans are certain of where they want Vidal to be playing next season and spent much of the Bianconeri's 0-0 friendly draw with Cesena earlier in the week chanting for the Chilean to stay.

I never understand why would they have to travel to discuss terms??.Have they never heard of telecommunication???

I'm the last person to put a dampner on information like that... but...

A. Where is Woodward?
B. Aren't our head offices in London?

Arturo Vidal
Vidal Arturo
King Arturo and the knights of Old Trafford

No Vidal makes.. me something something

ALL CRAZY???

I honestly don't remember much of the Shaw thread so I might be wrong.
There's no might, you definitely are.

All the guys referred to as credible sources were churning out on, off, stalled, hijacked stories concerning a deal we now know for sure was done at the time.

Which shows what you know from your "credible sources".

The so called credible sources were calling it on and off all through the world cup, talking of Chelsea and Liverpool hijacks and that he has chosen to stay for another year at Southampton.

All the while it turned out it was a done deal before the World Cup even started and it just needed finalising.

For all we know they were right, maybe Chelsea were ahead of us in the race, Mourinho seemed to suggest Chelsea talked to Shaw's agent but they weren't willing to stump up the extortionate wages.

I'm looking forward to the meltdown once the summer ends. This is going to be good.

The BBC also reported Shaw told Southampton he wanted to join United last day of the season, and the deal was already done personal terms agreed.
I'm sure Chelsea came sniffing, but I know who I would believe.

Except the player himself said it was all agreed before the world cup, while those stories were churned out during it.

Fine I'm wrong lets be done with this conversation.

This was never on people, cant believe you think it's on.
It's dead.
How can people say something is on of off. None of us have any idea whats going on, how far, if any, talks are at, so therefor it's neither on or off.
People thought the Herrera deal was dead after deadline day last year, but he was signed pretty much out of the blue, and no journos over here had any idea we were in for him. Infact, weren't most of the journos here in the UK dismissing the reports in Spain that he was about to sign? Proves how much they know in all honesty. The only way it's truly dead is when Vidal himself comes out and says i'm going nowhere, or the window closes.

If Vidal signs, great, if he doesn't, we move on to our next target, it's simple really.

I was just kidding. I'm the one of the biggest muppets here, or so I tend to be.

Fine by me.

So are we agreed, it's alive in the water and swimming, jet skiing, scuba diving and motorboating away to its hearts content?

For what it's worth. You can ignore all that is said in the British Media. They are sourcing their information from Italy and Chile and are usually a good day behind us. Nothing is coming from any English sources as we're keeping it blacked out. The first bit of information they will actually get on this is that he is having a medical for us and everything is agreed.

Doesn't surprise me, from the experience of most business environments I've worked in. Why have a succinct and efficient 20 minute phone call, leaving you to crack on with other valuable work, when you could spend 6 hours travelling each way to and from a client to have that 20 minute conversation?

Haha it wasn't more of a dig at you, just in general, i just picked the first "It's dead" Message i saw :P

I'm a muppet in training haha, first transfer season in the mains, so i'm learning the ropes, but even though i have no idea whats going on in this saga, i still get a feeling, personally, that it's on and we'll sign him. Yet if we don't, it happens, we'll survive and move on. Then again, with Woodie going off on his "Watch this space" crap it's kinda got me all giddy inside that we're going to do some big business... but we all know Woodward, promises the world, delivers a steaming pile of sh*t in Fellaini

Business etiquette? We're talking multimillion pound deals here, no shame in having the courtesy to do it face to face. If there are contracts to be discussed and a huge amount of paperwork in terms of contract details to plough through, selling the brand to them, explaining our setup in terms of coaching and medical.

There's a million reasons why it's easier to do it over the table rather than over the phone.

Yeah but then he wiped the shit up with Mata, Herrera and Shaw.

Aaaah yes, yes he did, but he'll always have that blemish on his record. Seems as though he definitely learnt his lesson from last summer that's for sure!
Now if he delivers Vidal too, or a few more good quality players, would he be deemed completely cleansed of that unfortunate mistake, or would it still loom over him?

I agree, biggest transfer we had imo is LVG.
We need few more additions but even if we dont make them I'm sure we'll make top four. It would be great to bring some new players though....
As for Woodward all that big talk, he didnt need it, he brought extreme pressure on himself with it.

Guardian Rumour Mill said Vidal deal will be completed in a few days. Granted they do not even pretend to know what is really happening in that section

Do you not understand what the rumour mill is? Whole point is gathering the bollocks from other papers and putting a humorous spin on it.
