Arturo Vidal

This is a nothing quote, about as loose as saying "Manchester United are interested in Vidal, Pogba" No club would want to sell these players but as weve seen with Shaw and Herrera, offer the cash and they will listen. Would Vidal want to come? Well its very likely he would, to play under LVG who has singled him out for praise. Wages, we can blow anyone out of the water including Juve. The only thing standing in our way is Vidals love for Juve, he does love the club but his recent quotes are far from promising for the club saying "Im not sure if I will be at Juve next season" not the words of someone 100% sure hes staying.

I think he will leave, all signs strongly point towards us. But of course the likes of Real will be interested as will the usual english sharks. Although if we are interested I can see it happening sooner rather than later. As soon as Brazil knock Chile out :P there should be movement with Sanchez and Vidal. I hope both come to us.

Agree, if we are gunning for Strootman in Jan, then it's unlikely that we would be chasing Vidal as well.

More is better than less because of injuries, players out-of-form and good for competition. The likes of City, Real and Barca to name a few, have a truckload of midfielders and City have just bought another one.

Has anyone asked yet what does this mean for Cleverley, Fellaini and Anderson?

The best? Is he really better than Modric/Toure? And why is he more complete than Toure, I have seen Toure do all this season. Box to box, AM, controlling the game like a deep laying playmaker a la scholes, I have seen him play VM.
I think going by current form and the season he has had I think so. He's better than both.

Vidal is better defensively than Toure, has a slighly better passing and really vast amount of energy. At the moment he's the best midfielder in the world and possibly 3rd best after Messi and Ronaldo. He's a beast. His team contribution has been bar none this season.

Hopefully the boot. And add Young into the equation...

I'd say Busquets is the best in the world but Vidal is a close second.

I can't think of any part of the game Busquets is better than Vidal at the moment. Only Toure is about the same level.

Don't even think we'd be favorites in our own league for him if he can be had to be honest. If he moves anywhere it's to Real Madrid.

Great player is Busquets, but he's not as useful as Vidal in the final third. I think Vidal is the better all round player, while Busquets is the better defensive midfielder. Vidal just has more to his game imo.

Well we don't know that seeing as he's never allowed into the final third!

Busquets is an amazing, under appreciated player. Shame he's such a cnut

Yeah, well like they're not MUQ and the first two would be reasonable squad players and the latter needs to go. Anderson really doesn't have a future at United and has cost the club millions to prove himself and hasn't (along with Nani).

Vidal > Modric > Toure

All brilliant, but Vidal is simply the best all round midfielder in the world. Pretty much does everything well.

I think Vidal is better defensively as well. Sure Busquets is top 5 at the moment as well, but Vidal is more explosive and his tackling abilities and positioning sense are close to perfect.

Vidal doesn't strike me as the type of player who'd come to a club without CL Football, especially considering his age. If Madrid are in for him he's going there, which means we may well get Khedira.

65 caps for Spain, 0 goals.
2 goals in 6 seasons in the CL.
5 goals in 6 seasons in Primera Division.

He's a terrific midfielder, but Vidal spanks him in the final third. Vidal is a machine, I think he's the perfect midfielder, just superb in every department. He's the anti Spanish, doesn't piss about with the ball, gets stuck in and tackles everyone, plays it quick and direct. He's perfect for the Premier League.

It's probably way too good to be true. That's the only problem! Either LvG is a magician or we'll end up being disappointed.

No one cares, theyve been on the chopping block since january.

You'd think we were Clev, Fell & Ando United, if they can't cut it because we are getting better players, I for one, won't hold a tear for their departure, it's a football club where they are paid extreme amounts of money, if X isn't as good as Y, sell X.

There were also widespread reports in Italy yesterday that United are also preparing a move for Arturo Vidal, the £35 million-rated Chile attacking midfielder, from Juventus. Vidal is on United’s radar, but while a move is unlikely at this stage, the club are continuing to monitor developments.

From James Ducker.

Does anyone even care?
Probably not but when we were going to sign RVP, a few people were worried about the future of Welbeck and Hernandez. It was more a rhetorical question than anything else.

So basically Juve have briefed the press in Italy that they expect a bid in that region and United have not confirmed or denied it.

Sounds about right. United are keeping quiet this time around and with Madrid said to be interested then it won't be easy to sign him.

We're going to need to be stealthy and sneaky. Timing our pursuit of Vidal at a time when Madrid are after one of their huge signings, like Suarez for example.

Well apparently Madrid won't move for Vidal until they can sell Khedira, so if we move quickly enough maybe we can beat them.

Lol I don't think that's how football works. Do you really think Madrid wouldn't know? Why would Juve keep it quiet? It's in their interest to get an auction going.

I don't see this one happening.

Struggling to think why he'd come here - If Real are interested then the'll pay more and generally have more allure.

If they aren't, as a Chilean I'd probably fancy Juve and CL over United in transition.
