Vidal not in the travelling squad to Cesena, is that mean deal happening?

If this happens, which I still very much doubt, it will have been the most constipated transfer in football history.

United to sign Vidal So Soon?
We've been signing him "soon" for like a month. I've forgotten what the word even meant.
I think we'll sign him in the last seconds of deadline day. By a hair.
To be fir i had pondered whether we know we can get him and are leaving it as a backup in case nothing else appears. But then this is Vidal, so who would be be picking over him? And without a replacement themselves would Juve really sell a star player on the last day of the window?

Ronaldo?

IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!!! The unlimited money thing, the transfer going on for so long, Ronaldo saying he'll be staying in Spain, no one having the no 7 shirt... I'm buying into this.

Think it's bad now, back in the days of teletext, refreshing for updates every minute on Ronaldinho, waiting for page 1 of 20 to come back around again, finding out he's a done deal for United, only for Barca to flash at the top. Muppet suicide.....

I think Vidal not joining would wipe out half the RedCafe active members lift.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the future of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal is increasingly uncertain.

They say Vidal will in the next few hours communicate his desire to leave the Italian giants for Manchester United in a deal reportedly worth 60m euros (£48m).

From the BBC Sportsday Live feed
Why can't BBC quote their own findings instead of regurgitating the Italian press? They have enough resources to know what's going on.

Our bid probably went straight into their Junk mail filter.

I mean an eMail from a stranger, named after an actor, written in a foreign language, offering you millions of pounds and talking about something that may well be a generic clone of Viagra - that's bound to trip the spam scoring. He probably sent it from manutd.com with a return address of manutd.co.uk as well. Amateur.

As you say BBC are quoting GDS, who are quoting the British Press who are quoting Caught Offside - so it's all bullshit.

Article BBC are quoting from GDS:
Remember, it only remains. The future of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal seems increasingly uncertain. A few days ago a. D. Marotta had hampered any possible transfer ("Vidal is with us"), but apparently fans can not put your heart at peace. As reported by the British press the Chilean in the coming hours will tell the Juventus management, through its agent Fernando Felicevich, his desire to marry at Manchester United. Apparently that attracted him were 200 thousand pounds a week offered by the English club.
Sites English - Other Voices, always from England, go beyond and are already talking of agreement, reached at a figure that is about 60 million Euros. Louis Van Gaal would have asked his company to accelerate to the player considered a key piece of his new project. Manchester, which this year will not play the Cup, would have offered a four-year by nearly 13 million per season.

The BBC have a "rumour mill" section on the site which gives all the latest gossip from around the world. They won't report on anything to do with Vidal unless they're sure it's happening.

Doesn't mean anything but Twitter suddenly has exploded with three pieces of Vidal news.

1. He passes United medical [metro]
2. He handed in transfer request [no source but 100s of tweets]
3. Juv accept 47 m bid [not sure if € or £, against no source just hundreds of tweets]

So no different to any afternoon in the ast 6 weeks.

Tedious saga where nothing concrete has happened at all since June to make us believe he's even a consideration for Utd.

My arse has just exploded with the remnants of last night's curry, doesn't mean you should bet your house on my brown waste to sign for United.

Do we at least know if his agent is in Italy or in England? Contradictory reports. Or is he stuck in a plane like Woody was last year?

Doesn't look like we'll be having Sasoon so soon.
I don't know, I fully expect master commercializer Woodward to announce Vidal Sassoon as our latest sponsorship deal:

"I am pleased to see the fans taking such an active interest--to the point of obsession really--in our sponsorship deals. Well, I have heard your calls for me to sign a deal with Vidal Sassoon, and I have responded!"
