As if the date of receiving the money would change anything. When they know they will cash in on him they can spend the money beforehand as well. Which is what Juventus are doing right now anyway.

Then why don't they sell him already if they know that they are going to?

They have spent £12m net. I think they can afford that.

If Allegri or Marotta are saying it ("Vidal will stay") again then it really means "Vidal must say or do something".....he must act so Juventus aren't the bad boys in the end
Vidal has had ample opportunity to come out and say "I am flattered by Uniteds interest, but i'm staying at Juventus" or even a simple "I'm not leaving" but each time he's had that opportunity, he's just not come out and said it. I'd imagine if he was serious about staying, he'd have said so by now.

He's been saying that for awhile now.Just that some refuse to believe it.

None of us know what's happening really. Unless I hear it from the Chilean horses mouth I won't believe it.
The fact that Allegri & Marotta keep talking about it, or responding to questions about it, leads me to think that there's something in it.

I still see one of these transfers that is about 50/50, but I just get this gut feeling we will not get it completed. Dreaded a saga like this, the club got to come out and put in that bid and end all the drama, because united themselves are dragging it out

United to sign Vidal soon?

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the future of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal is increasingly uncertain.

They say Vidal will in the next few hours communicate his desire to leave the Italian giants for Manchester United in a deal reportedly worth 60m euros (£48m).

Fabregas left it to the last moment last summer tho......

A lot of smoke about this today, hopefully it's on

Gazetta isn't reporting anything of the sort...

Fabregas left it to the last moment last summer tho......

Isn't that because Martino came in and said he wanted Fabregas to stay and that he'd play him? Cesc was pretty coy about the whole move before that happened, and given his move this summer I'd wager he was definitely giving us the 'come and get me' look at one point.

Not really, Fabregas spoke to a radio station in Spain early in June 2013 and said that he was proud of where he'd got too and didn't want to leave Barca and how it was his dream to play there. That should have pretty much ended interest right there, but Moyes was determined to get him, even after both Fabregas and Barcelona had said it wasn't going to happen. Eventually Barca just had him sit at a press conference where he completely dismissed any intention of leaving.

It's always "in the next few hours", or "tomorrow", or "verbal agreement" etc...Just get it done ffs. Watch this space my arse.

I hope Evra goes wild at his unveiling, shouting 'WE'RE SIGNING HIM! THEY'RE LYING!' whilst Allegri tries to cover his mouth.

they are saying exactly that, it's the first two sentences.

Edit : To be fair they say that's the informations are coming from England.

Wait so Vidal wants to stay at Juventus but is also restless?

Metro saying he's passed a medical?!

http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/31/artur...-manchester-united-ahead-of-transfer-4816232/

Arturo Vidal’s summer transfer to Manchester United has edged a step closer after he reportedly passed medical tests with the club.
United have been chasing Vidal for most of the summer and despite Juventus insisting he will stay, reports yesterday suggested he was determined to move to Old Trafford.
But while it’s thought that the two clubs are yet to agree a fee, Vidal has now apparently passed a series of medical checks with United ahead of the switch.
The 27-year-old suffered with knee and ankle problems in the past and it’s thought that the Red Devils were keen to check up on those injuries ahead of a giant deal.
