I cant see how he could have passed a medical now when he's recovering from a knee injury/operation.

Boring, another week of nothingness, season can't come soon enough.

I can see no obvious explanation whatsoever as to how that could happen.

This definitely has the same sense as the Sneijder saga. I was certain we were going to sign and he clearly wanted to join but in the end we said we weren't even interested!

Some of it reminds me of the Berbatov saga though, which ended well....eventually.

You do come across a touch smug and more than a touch elitist.

Which team do you follow and what is your interest in Redcafe transfer sagas?
Don't follow an EPL club, but Barcelona is the team is support. Smug and elitist - that's your opinion not mine. I'm a football fan, and this is a way to keep up with transfers.

I never understood how Sneijder ever became a saga. It seemed pretty obvious we weren't interested the whole time. He wasn't even the sort of player we needed to be looking at.

We were interested in Sneijder I think, we backed out on any deal because of his agents demands.

I don't think we'll do the same with Vidal, Woodward needs this almost as much as the team do.
