Arturo Vidal

Jumped into the thread, saw the first, second and fourth post on this page and thought we'd signed him.
Feckheads.

The most prepared bid in the history of bids.

I hope we are paying a professional writer to hand write the bid in perfect cursive writing.

So his agent is on his way with a fake proposition from United, and telling Juve "They're offering twice what he's on. Match it or he's off", and Juve, rather than contact us and be told "Yeah, Juventus, we've not offered him shit. We aren't interested in him" will just jump and give him this new deal, right?

I always wonder how these 'Using another clubs name to get a big deal' deals work. Do they just pretend United are interested, and convince Juventus to never ask us about it or confirm our interest?
Nope. All the agent needs to do is tell clubs such as United that Vidal "may" leave if the offer is good. Elicit a primary response and use that against Juve. Given those circumstances, we can't tell Juve that we spoke to the player (tapping up). We would also maintain to journos that we aren't really on the verge of a purchase (given the prelimnary nature of of the inquiry).

Even if we were to assume that we spoke to Juve "unofficially", we would still maintain that "yeah, we spoke to the agent and but nothing more given that he is your player". This would help the agent bargain a better offer since Juve knows we have money to splash and we spoke to the agent.

All fits in quite well, if you ask me. But then again, I may be quite wide of the mark.

This is so OFF

I'll keep dreaming but this is never going to happen. My fingers will be crossed till September 1st at 23.59pm.

Really wish Vidal himself or anyone at United would clarify if we are interested or not.

If we really want him, how have the club not even put in a bid yet? It's like the exact opposite of the Fabregas fiasco from last season. Nonsensical bids, with no idea if Barca or Cesc were willing to even take notice of us. Now, we appear to be sniffing around in the right areas, possibly putting the feelers out if reports are to be believed, but forgetting that we actually need to stick a bid in.

Bid. If they reject, great, a moment of clarity, and everyone can move the feck on.

I said earlier this week that I won't expect any major movement until the end of the week. His agent is scheduled to have talks with Moratta today. I will persist until Friday for now, unless of course he comes out himself and says he's staying at Juve and will definitely not be coming to United.

But sure we're not interested in him. Until someone makes an offer for him to Juve they can't offer the player shit, and with 3/4 years on his deal the club holds the power. His agent can say whatever he wants to Juve, but he can't strongarm them into a payrise for a player nobody has bid for.

You've posted that about 100 times already. Close the thread, and I don't mean close it properly, just close it on your browser.

It's fecking tedious.

If that's what it takes, I'm game.

There he is! The man we're all hoping will sweet talk Vidal.

Is that you Felichevic? We've waiting for you to arrive in Turin...explains why you've missed your plane then.

I hope he does come, but there ain't a single credible piece of information to say we are even interested.

What has been said? I can't see any social media as I'm in China. Please can someone actually post the wording from some of the tweets...
