Check twitter thread or Vidal thread you will find your answer :)

I did, that's where I've read that we haven't even bid for him. how can a club offer contract to player before they negotiate with his club first?

I just woke up in NY to news on my Eurosport app that that "Vidal agrees to 47m United Deal" is it true? I'm literally shaking as I type this.
No, I think it's all sourced from Chile's answer to the Daily Star again.

So el Mercurio was chatting shit again. Figures.

Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion - they stated that we have a verbal agreement with Vidal and that this would be followed up with a bid.

How has anything that has happened today changed any of that?

They may be incorrect, but they have not in any way been proven wrong.

This is all bullshit if we were interested we would have put in a bid by now.

At this stage I'm really not too bothered about how this ends, as long as it ends soon.

Juventus appear to have said that they won't sell Vidal unless he asks for a move himself.

So in that instance there would have to be contact between the player and his prospective club before an offer was made.

So that's how they keep reeling in the muppets... make up shit and word it in such a way that they can never 100% be PROVEN wrong... when it falls through, El Mercurio: "Vidal changed his mind/United backed out/Juve privately refused bid so the privately made verbal agreement remains private forever"

It's all speculation at the moment, but few reported that we have offered hime better contract terms then what he is on at the moment with juve. That's why the talk of his agent going to Turin to discuss Vidal's situation, his agent will ask juve to match our offer to Vidal or let hime join us. As I said it's all speculation/reports - it could be all bull.

"Starting"? We briefed the media time and time again since 2 weeks ago that we aren't interested

From the link that JaapStaam1986 shared:

Daily Telegraph football journalist Mark Ogden claims reports regarding Arturo Vidal's move to Manchester United just won't go away - heightening the suspicion the Red Devils are set to make a move.

The Chile World Cup star has been linked with a £37million switch to Old Trafford from Juventus this summer, with Louis van Gaal keen to improve his box-to-box midfield options.

But, according to Ogden, the Premier League club have told reporters they are not interested in the 27-year-old.

Reports from Chile on Tuesday claimed the deal is all-but complete, and Ogden admitted it was hard to know where the truth lay.

“The word from Manchester United is contradictory, and it has been for a few days,” he told Hawksbee and Jacobs . “The message we have been getting is not to take any notice of the reports because it’s not happening.

“The noises coming out of Chile and Italy are so strong though that something may be going on behind the scenes.

“We’ve been told there is no direct contact with Juventus. Obviously that doesn’t mean there can’t be contact with associated parties. It seems to be a story that won’t go away.”

So where are on the Vidal-ometer?
His hair is definitely pointing at "IT'S ON" there. This is the clearest sign we've had people.

Probably, but happy to stay optimistic, rather than being pessimistic that this can never happen, we never sign the best players etc, etc...

We are so shit at Transfers. We piss around way to much and show too much disrespect to other teams.

Is Woody expecting them to panic and knock £10 million of his asking price?

I get the feeling Ogden is a little butt hurt he's no longer in the loop. Even Andy Mitten is on the tour and he knows Jack shit.

It definitely seems a marked change from last season - seems like we are keeping our cards much closer to our chest.

We've been shit for a good while now. Even simple transfer where we face zero competition seems to take an age.

Well, depends on how you read the statement. Woodward is saying we've had no contact with Juventus - well, thats factually correct if we are using an agent as a go between.

I really am starting to think that we haven't been after him all that seriously for some time now. I mean there was clear interest at the beginning, but completely fabricated media reports have blown this out of proportion.
Feck sake why don't we just bid 50M and see what happens.
£50m is a lot of money. You could put a serious dent in the amount of people starving to death in Africa with that. Especially if there's a McDonalds out there, Happy Meals for all!
Nothing gets past you does it.
Wearing state of the art muppet goggles now.

So basically they decided to disbelieve United's briefing on vidal because Twitter and foreign media like El fecknutio and Gazetta Dello Cock keep writing that we are preparing bids or agreeing terms (verbally).

How is that in any way convincing you that United are pulling out the legendary smokebottles (always mentioned, never happened) again? Screens of smoke, here we cum.

50M euros.

That's a good thing, as long as we get the necessary business done. Or we'll be converting Ashley Young into a box to box midfielder at this rate. I'd be fairly happen to go into the season as the squad sits, but we're only a couple of signings away from a genuine title challenge imo.

Its like a broken record now. They are saying the same thing over and over again. He is available but just for 50m Euros. Give them the god damn money.
It's the weirdest transfer thread. I'm literally seeing the exact same things tweeted/posted with slightly different wordings everytime I come.

lol, i said the same the other day. Why would be waiting so long?, we have had reports for ages now that Juve don't want to sell but they would listen to offers over 50mil euros.
Its obvious we are not in for him, we may of been at some point but not anymoe.
