Arturo Vidal

Allegri's comment are not concerning one bit. He isn't going to come out and say that the player is unhappy and wants to leave. All is on Vidal unless he quashes all the rumours I think this deal can happen.

"i'm glad he's staying" there seems to be confusion over that quote on Twitter
If he did actually say that anyway. I'm a bit sceptic how a Juve fan has got hold of these so called quotes that has happened 90 minutes before the actual presser. I mean, if he's there just get on with the real presser and have done with it.

"blahblahblah player is happy/player will stay"

"Well of course they are going to come out and bull shit"

Some guys in here are in some sweet denial. I need some of th he stuff you guys see taking. He couldn't be any clearer with those statements. Lol
I thought the presser was moved an hour back which means it is only about to start?

Allegri must have nipped out for tea and biscuits with the journalists before the presser starts.

What an arse. He's reporting on something that he hasn't got the slightest clue about - he could be being fed these quotes by a WUM or anything.

It shows the level of the sources he is privy to in any case, if he's simply repeating something with no knowledge of the context, or even a clear idea the conversation has even taken place or who said what.

But as has been pointed out, they are exactly the same statements every club makes when there are rumours of one of their players being bought - we did it with Ronaldo.

In fact, how about he went further with his comments, such as "we wouldn't sell them a virus".....

This guy is the source of the quotes

i hate the transfer windows - i wish i could go in a coma at the end of the season and wake up at the end of it all

Spot on. At the end of the day money talks and players know that clubs paying big wages usually have top managers and other top players. They get paid and they've a good chance of winning trophies as well.

The commercial side of things is just as important. The PL is watched all over the world.

I don't see Juventus selling noodles in fecking Korea, do I?

I like you Brightonian, but seriously, we just don't make this kind of signing with players outside of the premier league. The last one was Veron. 13 years ago.

We also don't sack managers, employ 'foreign' managers, finish outside of the top 3 of the Premier League, or play without wingers. Things change.

If Vidal really ain't coming then he would just come to the presser and make that clear, if his not making official statements then anything can happen.

I know. We heard you (and others in this thread) say it the first hundred times.

Personally, I don't think RVP and Mata are worth less because they were at Arsenal and Chelsea when we bought them rather than Monaco and Juventus. RVP was still the best (or joint best with Ibra depending on your view of him) CF in the world when we bought him. City, Juve and Real were in for him too. What difference does it make that he was at Arsenal not a foreign club?

That's not even the point though. The 'positive posters' in this thread are here to have a laugh. You've made your point, but you don't have to make it again and again on each new page. Just let them enjoy the muppetry, no?

You can learn a lot from someones tone, though of course the translation makes it that much harder.

Saying, 'the player hasn't asked to leave and we're happy for him to stay' is certainly different from 'under no circumstances will he be allowed to leave this summer, it is out of the question, even if he puts in a transfer request', or something similarly strong.

I remember the Rooney guff last summer, when the club briefed the following line via the Guardian "Manchester United have taken the top-level decision that Wayne Rooney will not be sold to Chelsea no matter how much money is offered or whatever the potential risks of keeping an unhappy player." When I read that I knew he was staying, because the language was so strong it left no room for an about turn.

Not that I think we will sign him, but Allegri is already under pressure, imagine if he said he doesn't know what will happen with Vidal. He would be thrown to the dogs.

Milan nearly every year say a certain player isn't leaving, Thiago Silva for example signed a new contract a week before PSG signed him.

Of course Allegri is going to mark his first press conference as Juve manager by announcing that they are selling their best player!

TORINO - Massimiliano Allegri meets the press on the eve of the match against Cesena. The coach of Juventus starts from this friendly and then tackle all the current issues: "Tomorrow will be another match in Cesena compared to the debut. We want to do well for us even though the season has just started Monday with the arrival of all the national and then the condition is what it is. I will bring all to Cesena also with a national day of training, however, is the opportunity to get together and prepare for the trips that we have to do throughout the year. " inevitable demand in the market and in particular on Vidal: 'Vidal? Resta is happy to stay here as they are all boys. I want the fourth in a row and the second in another company that would be a great advantage for me. Then we have the Champions League, Europe is important. I hope other players arrive but the company is nonetheless moving well on the market. "

ON JUVENTUS AND THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TEAM - Then the discussion turns on the team:"Yesterday I spoke with the guys. I'm new I need to have to help me understand. The season is long need plenty of pink and those who play little. I have already spoken with Pirlo 10 days ago so we said goodbye. We are professionals there is mutual respect and the goal is to make a big Champions. "

ITS Over my friends, it was a good fight by us muppets, but reality wins!

There's really nothing bizarre about it. At all.

I'm not denying we are a huge club and a lot of the changes that post referenced are for the long term betterment of the club. Again, no problems with them.

But we have tried and failed to acquire elite level targets for years, I would be ecstatic if it did happen, but the likelihood is that it won't.

It's pretty obvious United aren't going to get anyone else in until after the tour, as LVG has been saying for nearly 2 weeks now. This Vidal thing has definitely been fueled mostly by bullshit. We've all done a good job to keep this alive but it isn't happening.

Give up, keep your heads in the sand.
What's your goal in repeatedly saying it's not happening, over and over?

The only reason I can see for people doing this is the hope that they can later say 'I told you so'.

Plenty of people don't think it's happening, but if you've such a problem with speculation and/or hope then simply stop opening the thread.

Only three things can end this saga:
1. We sign him
2. Vidal himself sits in a Juve presser and says he is categorically not leaving
3. The close of the window
