Arturo Vidal

We're sometimes like an apathetic guy in a nightclub that doesn't feel like approaching a girl he thinks is cute. Just get up and go talk to her and see what happens, have some belief in yourself. Madrid is the guy that takes chances and isn't worried what any of the girls think of him, he just throws himself out there and sees what happens.

...Nonetheless, I think we've been keeping contact with Vidal's agent through all of this and should definitely expect something tomorrow.

We are actually more like the old guy at the club who needs to re-learn how to talk to young ladies.
It just takes us forever to make a move, then close the deal (or try to anyways)

Aaah, The Red-Cafe. It is there, where men and women from all ages and nationalities gather. They come together to experience emotion. Real emotion, varying from depths of despair to superficial lusts and anything in between. Some are hunters, others are dreamers; most are delusional. Over the years, success has been the main dish on their menu and it has intoxicated them to a point of being insatiable.

Todays prey of dreams is Arturo Vidal, a prime example. The hunter: Edward 'Dreamkiller' Woodward. Apparently, the dream is almost dead. But in the wild bazaar that is the transfer market, names and reputations can be built as fast as they were broken down. Can the hunted become the hunter? Will brave Edward become the 'Dreamcatcher' and lay the groundwork for a legacy of glory? Will the potential acquisition satisfy and feed the emotionally hungry? And will it be enough to overcome the dark months leading up to the winter, a new winter window full of fresh possibilities?

Say tuned to find out...

I think we'd have moved a lot quicker on this one if we felt there was interest from another club.

Assuming we are interested.

I suppose we are all grasping at straws because, we like to believe that when we are desperate for a type of player and one of the best is clearly available, we would surely would pay the money and get our prize. Surely, LvG isn't as blinded by his own decisions as Moyes was? I fear he is.

Vidal is a no-brainer.

Ogden, Sky Sports journos havent mentioned it. Usually you get it on Sky like "United in Vidal talks" then "United bid for Vidal." We've apparently done all this so why haven't they reported it? This is why I am not convinced.
Sky sources are a load of shite, and Ogden isn't being fed information any more. How reliable is a source if the source isn't being fed anything?

The fact you consider Sky reliable, when they have a betting site and are cynical with their reporting (they feed their own betting market with stories) stuns me. They never break stories, other than when reporting what everyone else is reporting.

Because the club is probably leading the reliable journos with bullshit information so we don't create a circus like last summer. From the numerous reports in Italy, it would seem we've been talking through Felicevich instead of Juve.
Listen if we got him I wouldn't be surprised. It's just such a tedious saga I'm trying not to become too convinced or involved.

Date of update 15th July, as far as I know is the 28th today
He means that the article you posted was two weeks old.
I know, I didn't post recent article because nothing has changed "not interested" is the line used few days ago..
I am not trying to bash anyone's hopes here, I didn't agree with the fact that @Paul the Wolf picked on it because it's a old article :)

Sky are 100% reliable what are you talking about. Whenever they report something it is genuine.

I'm sure you know your journos, in which case you'll know that if the club is briefing a party line, it's sure as hell not Simon Jones at the Mail whos getting the exclusive.

That simon jones article is pure bullshit.

 great use of english......except for the typo

I agree, if Vidal does not materialize, then we are dead on to sign the stroot.
I like strootman, but I still think Vidal is by far the better player.

I agree, but if the player doesn't want to come or the club don't want to sell, or Utd aren't actually interested there's nothing we can do about it. This transfer seems to have come from the fans and the attention seekers on twitter are fuelling the fire, there isn't a shread of credible info that says we are in for him.

You're in here as much as me pal  we are all involved, there isn't a dam thing we can do about. Muppet season sucks us all in one way or another.
Hope we are all happy come September 2nd. At the moment I'm nervous

Why post it then - you say it wasn't 2 weeks ago, it was !?
The Marotta quotes were from 2 weeks ago and that is all that has happened today

Hmm seems Juve have left it open. Using words such as think and if keeps me interested - they were never going to openly sell him.

When's this supposed fabled meeting with the agent?

Wise up. "Sky sources" is whatever is in the papers. They report on things as they happen. When have they ever broken a story before anyone else? They can't report Vidal is done because it hasn't been done yet. See the Herrera thing. Their sources reported we were in for him after ever other cnut had already said we were.

  I'll admit i am involved then. But I am trying not to believe it even if I have been sucked into it. My location is spot on.

Look, Sky are totally right. Whenever they report a deal it always, always actually happens.

Who cares if others report it before them? That's fair enough...the journos got it right. My point is that this time I'm not convinced by the journos as Sky haven't spoken yet.

Trust me, I'm pretty sure if Sky broke a story tonight, the same as the Mail or Sky Italia or Chilean newspapers have in the past that Vidal is a ''done deal'', all the scepticism in this thread about the possibility of the transfer would vanish. We'd pretty much accept it has happened.

I suggested that you keep up with transfer updates because nothing has changed for the past two weeks (not interested) You should read my first post, I was just responding to a poster who seems to believe that we didn't briefed media like we did with Kroos/Fabregas. I didn't post the article as a source of new information!
Let's just chill and move on.

Absolutely everything (other than common sense) suggests another centre mid is the last position we're looking at

Twas never off. Just a few drama queens who came in here dithering like dave

Now there hasn't been a post for 5 minutes. This has turned into a disgrace to muppetry.

We need less drama queens and more blind faith!

Am I the only one feeling a bit jittery over his health issues? Dodgy knee has me dreading this as a Hargreaves like signing.

well its taking this long to get to the everybody denying it point, so it will take another few weeks before somebody owns up to doing business, then another few weeks of supposed other clubs also looking to buy him, and at the end of August we will Sneijder.
