What's our ratio on broken hearts to success stories when it comes to transfer sagas like this?

I mean with Kroos, Fabregas, Sanchez, Sneijder, Ozil, Hazard, Lucas, et al, all being heartbreaking, surely were due a Mata, RvP, Berbatov, Tevez moment.

Losing out as much as we have done in recent years means we're due a win, no?

Vidal has the feel of a saga that might just go right.

Around 20 heartbreaks to 1 win.

In terms of transfers were we are undoubtedly pursuing the player it's about 10 to 1 (RVP).

We haven't done a deal like this in ten plus years.

A world class player, wanted by his club and not in the last year of his contract.

Wouldn't it be amazing for us to buy a top player like this? Woodward has to deliver at least one player like this, this summer. Especially after all his interviews talking us up in the market and saying we want the best players blah blah...

Is it fair to say that there is no other reason for Vidal's agent to be heading to Turin, other than to discuss Vidal leaving?

Marotta seems to want to keep him, and he already is training in Vinovo. The future of Juventus Vidal is called now. On the plate, no concrete offer. But it may come soon, along with the prosecutor boy Felicevich. From today, the agent is in Italy, possible that in the coming days the Juventus management meetings to discuss the future of his client. It addresses a tangible offer to the club, which should certainly be appropriate and in keeping with the value that attaches to Juventus Chilean midfielder for it to be considered. It is assumed, more than 35/40 million euro. Europe looks at Juve Vidal object of desire of many big clubs.

If Woodward pull this off I will defend him madly in every thread there is here. Even when the talk isnt about him.

If not I wont probably be here for a while. :(

his agent wouldn't need to go for any other reason i can think of but how do we even know his agent is going?, it could just be yet more Twitter bollocks.aw

They are in a win win situ. If he joins, nobody will be talking about the doubters, if he doesn't, the clowns will be in here baiting the optimists. I managed to get a short ban last season after Fabregas, for rising to the bait of one plum in particular.

ArturON!! There, that feels better, joining the league of positivity.

If we sing it, he will come.

I know, it says many European clubs. :nervous:
None of their offers are prepared as well as ours though to be fair.

With di Marzio on board with this now I'm confident. I'm ploughing 100% of my hope into his agent being given authority to deliver the offer and negotiate on our behalf. It is so ON! Vidal week begins now!!

Because di Marzio has just said he has arrived and he's the only Italian source genuinely worth listening to.

His agent just wants this move. I can feel it. If it was Paul Stretford, Vidal would have been here by now. Come on agent man, convince your client! Bring joy to our lives.

His agent is the magnificently named Fernando Felicevich, and that is the name of a man who clearly can get shit done.

This has definitely just stepped up to the next level as far as I'm concerned! Work tomorrow is going to involve a lot of checking of redcafe and very little work I think.

Reasons we missed out on our summer targets:

Sanchez: Champions league football with Arsenal
Di Maria: PSG's offer too good to turn down
Vidal: Insufficient bid preparation
