Luis Filipe was posing in plenty of pics with Atlético team mates when everyone knew he was going to Chelsea. Means nothing really in the grand scheme of things.

No. He has to sit with a face one like a miserable cnut until he's allowed to move.

Does he feck! Look at those eyes. In his mind, he's anywhere but in that room. Those are the eyes of a man who has a big decision to make and people to let down. Even the half hearted smile looks fake.

Now we're talking! There's pain behind those eyes.

So to summarise today - Juve are saying they want to keep him unless he wants to go? Big development, that.

He's lying down, so that thumb is pointing towards Manchester as most hotel rooms in Italy have the back of the bed facing North-West.

Also the thumbs up signal is the international sign for a hitchhiker, he wants someone to give him a ride out of there, towards the north-west as you say.

If thats not a sign I don't know what is.

They are signing Romulo Sousa, surely he is Vidal's replacement? It's on!

I'm not that optimistic actually

Same amount of letters in the names, like for like signing on the shirt printing costs.

On.

I've just been on the Thiago thread from last year and this thread is a clone copy. The same posters aswell with the drool faces all the time. Why do we do this to ourselves?

And I'm sure it had the same glass half empty posters in there too. Posting on every page of how the deal will never happen.

He's at the perfect age to prove himself at the highest level. We'll most likely have champions league next season. Now is the time to move for him, staying at juventus will limit him in my opinion. Here, he can compete with the best.

There were the same bunch of naysayers in the RVP and Mata threads.

Means nowt.
True enough. But then again, Mata was done within days of rumours heating up and RVP was second fiddle to Moura for most of the Summer. This has been a saga for weeks like Thiago, which ended in meltdown...

What's our ratio on broken hearts to success stories when it comes to transfer sagas like this?

I mean with Kroos, Fabregas, Sanchez, Sneijder, Ozil, Hazard, Lucas, et al, all being heartbreaking, surely were due a Mata, RvP, Berbatov, Tevez moment.

Losing out as much as we have done in recent years means we're due a win, no?

Vidal has the feel of a saga that might just go right.

They are in a win win situ. If he joins, nobody will be talking about the doubters, if he doesn't, the clowns will be in here baiting the optimists. I managed to get a short ban last season after Fabregas, for rising to the bait of one plum in particular.

ArturON!! There, that feels better, joining the league of positivity.

If we sing it, he will come.

I feel that Woodward will not let us down....two years in a row :)

Man United offer £45m + Nani for Vidal.

It's definitely on.

All those success stories are transfers from other Premier League clubs. All the big muppet disasters involve players who were playing in a different country at the time. Really, Herrera is basically an exception, our first real big money signing from outside the Premier League since Verón.
