Arturo Vidal

For them a player like Sanchez could be worth more to them than Vidal as they have Pogba plus two, or three other decent-top players in the midfiield.

Maybe too simple but we drop our 'interest' in Sanchez, and they give us a free run on Vidal, works for both clubs, plus Juventus will still have a wedge of money left over.

break the bank for him now that Kroos has gone to madrid

Just get him and Sanchez. Those two alone will instantly improve our first team. We can't be too greedy and expect 2 central midfielders in one window!

That would be the best transfer window ever. With those two additions I think that we would at-least make a decent challenge for the title.

Pogba off to Chelsea with Fabregas, Kroos off to Madrid, Rakitic gone to barca, surely means Sassoon to us? It does doesn't it?

Looks like Juventus are signing Guarin and PSG's Coman so I reckon Vidal is moving.

Guarin is the guy who has been linked with every club under the sun right? Sport Witness have a running joke about it

As we speak Louie with part of his future staff in United are analyzing Chile's team before Holland's third game. There's no chance that Vidal or even Sanchez won't impress our new manager.

The fact that Van Gaal's team is in strong group with so many quality teams makes him probably the best World Cup scout ever for Manchester United. There's definitely a good side to him being still not officially in United's office.

If him and Sanchez were to arrive, I can't help but think they would easily adapt. We have three players where Spanish is their first language. De Gea, Hernandez, and Mata. While we have Evra who can speak it, I am lead to believe he can speak it either fluently or at a decent level, which can only be a bonus considering his leadership responsibility and role in the squad. Also I wonder if LvG can still speak it considering his years managing there.

[MUPPET]We need a midfielder, this much is clear. van Gaal said he's a fan of Vidal. Vidal now saying he's not sure if he'll leave Juve. Juve sign Guarin. Barca sign Rakitic. Real to sign Suarez hence having no cash and going after Kroos. That means one thing, ArturON?[/MUPPET]

On a serious note, there seems to be something to this. He signed a new deal last year so doubt he's spreading the rumours for a new deal. I think he might very well move this summer. I'm just praying to any and every football god for it to be us. Good lawd the thought alone

I don't think we'll get him, but I'm not sure there's a 'too much' for him that isn't an insane amount of money. He's world class and probably the best in his position, definitely one of.. we need a player like him, he's hitting his peak and has years to give us. I wouldn't question whether 60m would be worth it.

He's easily worth €45m. Him and his buddy Sanchez would be wanktastic
Get Shaw and an experienced CB in and we'd challenge for the title.

One thing for sure. Vidal would cost much more than 30M euros. It's even laughable to suggest such a sum. Even 30M pounds are clearly not enough. I think something like 37M pounds which translates to 45M euros more or less, is a reasonable starting price. On top of that there could be players involved, bonuses, etc.

I don't think any fan would argue with buying Vidal for Mata money. He's not only the type of player we need but the best in the world in his position, instantly making us much stronger since we'll be replacing crap with the absolute best.

Is there a player more suitably built for the premier league?

With Suarez after potentially cocking up his chances of a move Real might go all in for him as their yearly galactico signing.

I think they'll turn to Aguero or Falcao if they don't fancy Suarez. But it's Real so they could just buy all of them.

Probably missed it but, why isn't he starting for Chile?
Said in his interview that his knee's getting better, which means he isn't 100% fit. Chile 's coach didn't want to take a risk in that match.

Usually only in computer games and made up newspaper articles are there players involved.

Manchester United hold transfer talks with €45m man's agent, as offer claims circulate

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ld-transfer-talks-with-45m-man-s-agent-as-off

Whilst Athletic Club Bilbao are running circles around Manchester United whilst laughing and crying at the same time, there have been some interesting claims in Italy about the Premier League club and Arturo Vidal. We covered claims earlier on Thursday morning from Gazzetta dello Sport about Manchester United possibly soon making an official bid, which would have to be in the region of €45m according to the newspaper.

Turin newspaper Tuttosport go further and claim that Arturo Vidal's agent has been holding transfer talks in Brazil with Manchester United and Real Madrid. Those talks, which the newspaper labels a 'summit', have been taking place in Belo Horizonte as Chile rest and prepare for the next stage of the World Cup.

Manchester United are said to want to include Luis Nani in a transfer offer which may not be such a bad idea. Juventus have been linked with the Portugal international for years and there's been claims of a done deal on more than one occasion. Antonio Conte wants a winger and had been pursuing Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez but he has more competition for that signing than what he wanted.

Real Madrid are said to want Vidal in case they sell Sami Khedira, the German international has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

When once Tuttosport would treat Vidal transfer rumours with disdain, they now seem forced to take them more seriously.

0% chance

I'd rather we tell Southampton to get fecked with Shaw and spend the cash on Vidal while going for a cheaper left back option.

Most probably but it's good see we're being linked. With LvGs comments about always having being an admirer, who knows, he might opt for us (slim chance I know) knowing he will be our main man.
