Arturo Vidal

Will refuse to get slightly taken in by this. Will end in tears :(

I'd rather we tell Southampton to get fecked with Shaw and spend the cash on Vidal while going for a cheaper left back option.

That team would walk the league.

I certainly won't mind pitching my muppet tent in this here thread should the Herrera deal be concluded soon.

Vidal-Herrera

Woody would be a god

Yeah we need a new thread for sure. That Herrera deal could drag on for days and us muppets just can't deal with that kind of shit.

I was being sarcastic. There's not even enough players in that team to be eligible to compete.

Add Shaw and a new CB to that side and I think it would definitely make us favorites for the 3rd spot, but City and Chelsea would still be stronger. Especially defensively.

Manchester United hold transfer talks with €45m man's agent, as offer claims circulate

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ld-transfer-talks-with-45m-man-s-agent-as-off

Whilst Athletic Club Bilbao are running circles around Manchester United whilst laughing and crying at the same time, there have been some interesting claims in Italy about the Premier League club and Arturo Vidal. We covered claims earlier on Thursday morning from Gazzetta dello Sport about Manchester United possibly soon making an official bid, which would have to be in the region of €45m according to the newspaper.

Turin newspaper Tuttosport go further and claim that Arturo Vidal's agent has been holding transfer talks in Brazil with Manchester United and Real Madrid. Those talks, which the newspaper labels a 'summit', have been taking place in Belo Horizonte as Chile rest and prepare for the next stage of the World Cup.

Manchester United are said to want to include Luis Nani in a transfer offer which may not be such a bad idea. Juventus have been linked with the Portugal international for years and there's been claims of a done deal on more than one occasion. Antonio Conte wants a winger and had been pursuing Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez but he has more competition for that signing than what he wanted.

Real Madrid are said to want Vidal in case they sell Sami Khedira, the German international has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

When once Tuttosport would treat Vidal transfer rumours with disdain, they now seem forced to take them more seriously.

This is so on. ON.

Vidal and Herrera in midfield, I don't actually want to think about it, it's too much for me to handle.

So, are we signing him too? He isn't Spanish but at-least he has Spanish inheritance which sound good enough for me. Me likes Spanish midfielders.

I will w*** myself silly if we sign Vidal, this would be amazing. From Fellaini-Carrick (love him, but still...) to Vidal - Herrera  this would be too much for my inner muppet!

I'd literally lose myself. It would be too much. Feck me, we'd have some starting line up. With players like RVP, Rooney, Mata, Vidal, Herrera. It's. Just. Too. Much. For. Me.

You missed a few others from the list so I added them! No need to thank me!

So are Tuttosport reliable then?

Well they're based in Turin so guess they're closer to Juve than most sources. What raised alarm bells for me is that both Gazetto and Tutto have over the last few years maintained Vidal's not for sale. All of a sudden they're saying he might be available. Now allow me to muppet:

[muppet]
1. Vidal rumours start circulating of him possibly being available. Used as funding for other Juve deals.
2. LvG goes public by blowing Vidal's horn and batting his eyes at Vidal
3. Vidal says he doesn't know if he will be at Juve next season and that he will resolve it after WC.
4. Rumours surface we are very interested and are talking to his agent.
5. Juve have been interested in Nani for some time now. So Nani at a discount price could be used as bait for them to bite.

Sports Witness round up news stories from foreign media and give a proper English translation of those articles. They then also weigh up if the article is based on a bit of fact or pure myth. For example at the end of that article they say:

A Manchester City move is of course unlikely and El Confidencial are a Madrid based newspaper who will love stirring up Catalan trouble, but this is a story that won't go away and all doesn't appear well in paradise.

I am not going to be overly negative here.

We can compete financially, and offer as much wages as anyone else can, considering he will be a first team player and our best CM.

The problem will be the CL, and whether Vidal will even want to take a chance like that if we bid for him.

Roman will throw the cheque book their way if he's available.

:nervous:

If we sign Vidal along with Herrera and Suarez being banned, this summer is going to be awesome. Seriously, ever since Moyes left things have been nothing but rainbows and butterflies.

If Vidal comes to the PL, he'll surely be the marquee signing of the summer. It doesn't bear thinking about him going to City or Chelsea and it would be the biggest coup we could hope to make if we landed him.
