Arturo Vidal

I don't think this will happen, at no point have I thought it will.

However I'm not giving up just yet.

Exactly, and people were even more sure of us getting Thiago than Vidal. Plus, Sir Alex clearly signalled his intentions on Hazard and Moura (particularly Moura), yet failed to get both. Vidal's nowhere near Hazard and Moura in terms of how close he is to coming to us. This is Sneijder all over again.
Thiago story never had any legs, it was a lot worse than this one.

Can Vidal request to be sold, but still be entitled to leaving bonuses and all that jazz? Or is asking to leave the equivalent of handing in a transfer request and forfeiting it all?

It would be Fellaini + Shite.

Oh wait...

Carrick plus shit since 2010 to 13, herrera
Embarrassing from Talksport there - spent 5 mins talking about him not being the right signing cause he's a forward.....topped it off by arguing that Chelsea is a better move over utd for any player.

Joke.

Didn't mata had to move from chelsea, because mourinho did not rate him, already that argument has lost any sort of serious debate, if they think moving to chelsea is a better move than moving to united for any player. Would I rather play for mourinho's type of football? or van gaal's? I know which one I would choose for creative players

Why do I get my hopes up? I even told myself not to get too hyped up and I still fall for it.

Every fecking year. God I hate transfer season.

I hope we will get him in the next couple of days, because I don't want to waste another month browsing this thread. If we don't, I'm afraid this will drag until September.

Thiago had unparalleled muppetry, If Vidal was a year earler, it would have matched or bettered Thiago. But many of the fans have wised up.

The next couple of days you say?:lol::lol:

This is the Sneijder thread of the modern day, it'll drag on for summers on end until Vidal retires.

These sagas just don't work out. When we make a signing we usually wrap it up fairly quick and it's over and done with. It seems we rarely need to persuade the player to join, if it's clear he fancies us then it's a formality. These drawn out affairs which pass with very little evidence for anything always end badly because it's not usually how we do business. There was no large thread for Herrera, everyone assumed we'd get Shaw. Mata was sewn up fairly quick and came from nowhere. The only saga i can remember where we got our man was Berbatov, yet it was fairly well documented that there was something in it, we'd been chasing him for ages.

Why are you lot shitting it because Juve's top brass are saying Vidal is non-transferable? What donyoubecpextvthe, to publicly say?

There's something afoot or else the agent wouldn't be on the scene. Granted, it may be a contract improvement. Not over yet...

FFS sake Muppets Marotta is hardly going to say he will be gone by the end of the week.Actually the fact he feels the need to say Vidal is gping nowhere on a daily basis is a good sign imo.
Allegri's going to say the same thing in the presser later so be prepared.

Until Vidal says himself that he's 100% staying this is still up in the air.I'm not saying it's definately happening but neither is it over yet.

Well, yeah, it would be the best scenario, so I hope it will happen. Don't know what's funny about that, wouldn't you like it to finish?
Whether I think this will happen or not is another story, obviously.

Juventus confirmed on their official website that #Vidal trained separately out on the field, trained in the gym.

7:18 PM - 28 Jul 2014

Presumably because turning up to training in a brand new United home shirt with Vidal on the back is more than frowned upon in Turin, and then mimicking the manager's every instruction back to him in a poorly executed Manc accent was apparently the last straw. To sum up, it's on.

Feels massively like the Fabregas saga last year. I guess the difference here is that we never confirmed interest officially which I suppose makes us come out of it a little better. He'll come out tomorrow and say he is staying etc and it'll be put to bed officially.

Either way, despite a couple of signings so far, when you consider our poor previous season and many departures things are looking a little worrying as of this moment.

But if he keeps saying he's not selling and then he sells, he looks even more of an idiot.

But seriously what now? There are no other midfielders we are interested in but surely LvG want at least another new midfielder.. Or are we sticking with what we got?
