The most unbelievable thing about all this is the price. 35m GBP for probably the best midfielder in the world right now of his type.
"But Sunday People Sport understands a sensational £35million move is now back on and could even be completed in the coming days"
Sorry but I ain't falling for this again.
Too true.A tough question since it never started.
You may aswell. More fun..
I had the same worry, but it's seemingly the Sunday version of the mirror and Bates wrote the article.
CrapIt's from Steve Bates. He's been getting inside info on team news on tour. He called Fletcher captain as well as Clevs as captain first I believe.
This thread may explode on Monday/Tuesday....
Whatever happens I hope it brings an end to the speculation. Whether he stays or we bid. Just want closure. Very frustrating sagaThis thread may explode on Monday/Tuesday....
Agree with you mate, I hope it's put to bed by Vidal on Monday or Tuesday. But I have a feeling this will run and run...Whatever happens I hope it brings an end to the speculation. Whether he stays or we bid. Just want closer. Very frustrating saga

Yeah we do. Us united fans probably have the thickest of the lot. All we've had is twatter shite and foreign rag rumours for nearly 6 weeks. Nothing reliable whatsoever. And whatever interviews have been made have misinterpreted. I would of been happier if Vidal came out and said 'feck you united' a month ago.Oh come on we have the thickest skin of all top level fans for muppet let downs!
Although I want it over, I am secretly praying we bid. Please Woody, pleaseAgree with you mate, I hope it's put to bed by Vidal on Monday or Tuesday. But I have a feeling this will run and run...

Major muppet window this.

It will be fecking huge, a world class CM. It's been a lifetime since we have signed one of them. Desperately needed. Instant hero.I think the truth is like the rest of us you would wait until the final second of the window if it means getting him in. This could be the biggest muppet transfer in our clubs history. That sounds odd but its probably true......
Let the preparing of the bid commence!
Oh my, Pexbo...So... how about this theory.
LVG knows that despite his quality, nobody else is actually in for Vidal right now and it gives him time to assess his squad before he decides to drop £40m on him. With that assessment in progress I think its fair to say that Cleverley, Fletcher, Fellaini and an injured Carrick should be enough to persuade him to move. Not to mention an injured Strootman is seemingly on a long contract and an even more difficult transfer to put through.
Just have a little faith.
The deal makes no sense. If anyone expect herrera or Vidal to play a deeper role, they are mistaken. Herrera had the 2nd most threw ball in la liga playing further forward, while Vidal had scored 18 goals also playing in the same role. Unless we add a cdm to this midfield duo, this is not happening. To illustrate, we will have to remove our back three into a back two and change our wingback to fullback instead to stabalize our defensive:
Gk
Rb-rcb-lcb-lb
Cdm
Vidal-herrera
Mata
Van Persie Rooney
Width will be lacking in the system above and will ask alot of our fullback to provide it.
De GeaHere's a novel thought.... both put in their defensive shift like you'd expect from B2B midfielders and Evans steps up as a sweeper while Rafa and Shaw drop back meaning it's a 3-5-2/4-1-3-2 formation.
Jones - - Evans - Smalling
Rafael ________________ Shaw
Vidal - Herrera
Mata
Van Persie - Rooney

Yep, this exactly. This would still be more solid than anything we've put out for ages, and obviously infinitely better in terms of the attacking contribution from CM. It's not as if we've ever played with a DM anyway. And Herrera and Vidal are both arguably as defensively sound as Carrick, compensating for a higher position on the pitch with a much higher work-rate.
Personally, I think we'd even get away with this in most games:
De GeaWith a fullback as defensively sound as Shaw next to him, Evans would still have quite a bit of licence to step up and fill any gaps which Herrera and Vidal might leave.
Rafa Smalling Evans Shaw
Vidal Herrera
Januzaj Mata Rooney

Even if by miracle that Was pulled off transfer wise, I would bet a kings fortune that team will not be fit week in week out

It would be Fellaini + Shite. So what?
Regardless, the more top quality players you have, the better you cope when one gets injured.
At the moment it's Herrera + Shite. What if Herrera gets injured?
Or Arthur GrahamWe need to get this Arthur here. Haven't had a good Arthur since Albiston.

Steve Bates is the most trustworthy journalist in the business - in fact he's the only journalist who I bother to read articles from because he's that much better than everyone else.
Arguably the best journalist ever.
