Arturo Vidal

They would be stupid to let Vidal go to keep Pogba, Vidal is so much more loyal and I can't see Pogba staying at a club for more than 3 or 4 years, he is far too ambitious. I would be fecking pissed to see Vidal end up at Madrid though

Imagine Vidal & Modric in your midfield together.

I see a Hazard type situation for him except it will be us and City. "I will sign for the PL champions"

I genuinely think that of all the great players in world football he is the one that would improve us the most. He's the very best at what we're most lacking, drive, dynamism and aggression.

£25 + Nani, I think that would be fair. I'm not even going to start disapointing myself getting excited over this, but IF we got Vidal, we would truely be taking a step forward.

WUM, muppet, delusion etc.

Vidal leaving Juventus!
Vidal leaving Juventus for 36 million!:lol:

We can only dream, if a BBC journo can tweet it then it definitely has a place on the caf for my fellow muppets! ;)

*please note, 1 game remaining in Serie A

Tackles:

Vidal 130
Carrick 61
Cleverley 48
Fellaini 44
Fletcher 8
Total 161

Goals:

Vidal 11
Cleverley 1
Carrick 1
Fellaini 0
Fletcher 0
Total 2

Key Passes:

Vidal 47
Carrick 28
Cleverley 10
Fellaini 5
Fletcher 7
Total 50

Vidals Interceptions are much lower than Carricks, but around the same number as Cleverleys. He takes slightly more shots per game than Fellaini, but as you can see, scores goals. He'd be comfortably better than Carrick/Clev/Fletcher in aerial battles (Fellaini miles top).

He's a player we really need. A proper leader in the middle, someone who will get stuck in and control a game, but also has a directness to his play. Tries to be more direct with his passing (see key passes).

The two best all round CM's in the world are Yaya and Vidal. He would be an immense signing.

You know the media is making stuff up, when they claim the offer was presented to the coach who - at Juventus - is not the one responsible for buying and selling players.

26.7 million for Vidal and 27.5 million for Marouanne ? Sounds like a plan..

So we apparently offered more for Shaw than we have for Vidal?

As much as this would be the ultimate player purchase for us in our current state it's hard not to look at this story and think it's anything other than completely made up based on a picture of two men in the stands watching some football.

On the other hand.....Fergie sign him up!

As much as I want this transfer to happen, I just don't see it. If he leaves it will be either to Barca or Madrid I reckon.

So SAF sitting next to Conte doesn't mean we want to sign Conte as manager then?

It could only be for Vidal. :wenger:

Both rumours could be just as valid depending on how you want to play it, couldn't they?

They could have been discussing the fecking weather for all we know...

The idea that Fergie would be presenting an offer directly to Conte rather than Agnelli is what makes this particular story rather spurious. However Fergie does have a bit of a history of using the personal touch to get transfers over the line. It was widely suggested (having been pictured on the pitch with Abramovich) that he helped make the Mata deal happen. And it was reported that he called Wenger personally to try to convince him to sell Van Persie. With Woodward still inexperienced in getting transfers done it wouldn't be such a bad idea to make use of Fergie's reputation and experience.

I'm looking forward to seeing Chile at the WC. They took England apart at times and didn't even have their best player in Vidal.

I think it would only be right for us to reunite Vidal and Sanchez at club level. Not happening. But Christ that would be good.

If there was ANY shred of truth to this, I'd be more confident of the old man pulling off this deal than I ever would Woodward would. Would.

Fergie would persuade Vidal to join. The Jedi-voiced genius.

The idea that a multi million pound offer would be "formally" presented, by our former manager to the manager of Juventus, in the stand at a European Final really tickles my funnybone.
