Television Arrested Development

I'm not reading the thread, cos I'm only one episode in, and this may have already been proposed, but considering someone could've watched all 15 episodes already, whereas in reality, most of us will have seen no more than a handful, how about we use the old(?) spoiler policy?

So anything you've seen in any episode of S4 goes in a spoiler tag. Sound good?

Onto the third now. Enjoyed it so far. Couldn't compare it to any of the first three though; it really stands on its own. I like how the episodes interlink though.
Like Michael coming back to the house, the divorce reveal, and GOB on the settee hearing about their, er, intimacy.

I imagine the second half will pick up a bit when they've done the whole 'this is what they've been up to' introduction stuff.

Finding out the girl GOB shagged. Lindsay? Sally? Couldn't be Lucille 2 could it?

Just on the first episode now, iv been looking forward to this!

I started up a trial account with Netflix I actually feel bad for getting this for free, I might actually keep subscribed for a month and give them a tenner.

Only watched the first two and not sure what to think. There seems to be an awful lot of information to take in and very few funny moments so far.
 
Whats happened to Lindsay? she's aged about 60 years since the last season.
 
I think it definitely gets better and it's pretty good how it all links together. I suppose they had to show what they all did up to this point. I'm up to episode 10 but enjoying it so far. Some funny moments.

Both are amazing, but AD is probably the better show, and it's funny right from the get go, where as Parks doesn't really get good til early season two (though season one is only six episodes).

You should definitely look to watch both though, you won't regret it.

Man, Lindsay and Maeby have really gone downhill.
 
The more I watched it yesterday the more I thought it was classic AD. Annoyed I binged through 13 episodes in one go now. Only two left.
 
I've only seen the first 4 so far, thought it was decent. Nowhere near season 2, and I'm not sure if I'm a fan of this individual timeline stuff. The format for the original 3 seasons was better. Still pretty funny, but I'm hoping it picks up a bit because its a bit of an anti-climax so far.

My chosen method is 3 sittings of 5 episodes. I was quite disappointed up until the Tobias episodes, but hopefully it starts to pick up. Barely seen Gob too.
 
I liked the first Gob episode quite a bit. The Steve Holt (sorry, STEVE HOLT) appearance was great.

Same here. Apparently they couldn't afford having all of the cast in all of the episodes.

I think it was more down to time constraints due to some of their schedules. They couldn't get them all together enough to film a normal season.

I'm on ep 3. Enjoying it so far!
 
On the 7th now, it's starting to feel a bit more like old times again. And there have been some truly hilarious moments so far.

Lindsay gets much hotter once she cuts her hair, by the way.
 
A comparison of then and now, the Ann bit made me chuckle.

Couple of other points. The post production seems a bit shoddy. Ron Howard's narrations are just barely louder than the sound underneath, that's a bit bothersome. And I'm finding it a bit hard to keep track of the year, with them looking different to how they did in 2006.

I'll end up rewatching all of these.

Oh, and Lindsay's still quite fit. If I didn't know what she used to look like, I don't think I'd have guessed botox. She's clearly had it done (there's been times when I've thought they were using someone else), but it's been done well. Not like Courteney Cox, par example.

Yeah I'm finding it a bit confusing at times, I'm not sure when or where we are at times.

I think she (her forehead specifically) looked weird with long hair because it was actually a wig.
 
It wasn't just her forehead though, her whole face looked botox'd.

Too right. E4 been the best by a mile so far. It's like they've done the introductions, and they're back onto classic AD.

Also, watching Isla Fisher's first scene again, I have a feeling she's going to be in porn. "I was just sucking in this audition." "Actress is an overstatement." "Meet (meat), cute cliches."

Isla Fisher's gonna do porn! God I love this show.
