Jesus. It’s so weird how a death of somebody you don’t know can feel as sad as it does. She was a fantastic comic actress.

Yeah I think it's when they increase the episode length that it starts falling flat. Jessica Walter is amazing in it though. Just finished the 'Daddy horny' bit and burst out laughing, completely forgot about it

It has so many layers to it's jokes that even after watching it dozens of times, I still catch new gags.

Whenever I rewatch I always stop at S3. Is 4/5 worth a go?
I find them a lot less fun but there are still some really good moments. Especially since they re-edited them after the initial release.
There's a massive massive drop in quality and laugh out loud moments, although there are still some funny moments.
Lucille, and Gob are probably the two that keep it watchable.
Edit: Actually Tobias is still great in this season too.
Yeah, Tobias's storyline is the one that I think of in that season. Not a fan of Michael's arc in it.
Season 4 is alright with the new edit. I didn't like season 5.
Season 4 original version yes. It has some top tier stuff but is less consistent than 1-3.
Season 4 edited, not as good as original but fine.
Season 5, maybe you’ll find value but I don’t rate it.

Ended up watching S4 and 5, realising I didn't even watch 5 after all this time
4 remix wasn't bad but I actually liked the original because of how it was different and culminated with all the stories merging
Binging the remix had a lot of repetition you could forward through on episodes
5 had a good ending but was probably the least funny. Was weird watching it and episodes being the length of two regular early ones. It did take its time to get to the punchline for some jokes.
Tobias wasn't as good in S5 (S4 and the whole to catch a Predator given Tobias has no clue what he's saying was genius)
Michael doing a chicken dance was a good callback at the end of S5.
I'm glad I watched it but don't feel S5 is one I'd rewatch compared to older ones including S4.

I think the ending as it is, is fine and tbh without Lucille there, it wouldnt be the same.
Been watching this from the start recently. It's just on another level. You pick up hidden jokes in rewatches as well.
It’s amazing. I never watch past season 3 though as I worry they won’t capture the same magic with later seasons when it was brought back.
Yea, I've only seen S4 and S5 once. I might see if I can get through it if I finish Season 3 this week.
The following seasons are nowhere near as good as seasons 2 and 3 (which are sitcom royalty), but if I recall correctly, season 4 in the re-edited chronological version is okay-ish. I have no recollection of season 5.
Uncle Jack is the best one-off character in sitcom history.
