Can you explain to me what you think look impressive? They were poor tonight, and in a lot of ways lucky to win. Nothing about them looks impressive.

Yes, and we have had the most difficult run of matches..Had the easiest run of matches in the PL and a very easy 3 games in the CL.
What bearing does that have on any assessment of Slot's first few months at Liverpool?Yes, and we have had the most difficult run of matches..
I don't see how we are relevant.Yes, and we have had the most difficult run of matches..
Barcelona did last night. Can you explain to me what you think look impressive?
Maybe that’s his talent then that he doesn’t really get into a situation in which he may became a mad menOn the other hand. He's never been in a position were results have been bad for a prolonged period of time. Maybe Slot turns into an angry mad man if he loses 5 games in a row.

But in all seriousness, you’re Dutch and I am as well. We both know how he went from AZ to Feyenoord, he didn’t depart in the best possible way but he always remained a gentlemen. I’m pretty sure he will stay himself even after 5 loses in a row
Think his point is that despite that he never spoke ill of AZ.Didnt Slot his contract expire? He was free to negotiate with other clubs and AZ threw a hissy fit. AZ fired him because he left to a club they want to see as a rival?
Harsh, but can’t disagree with such an indictment.I don't see how we are relevant.
I know. We had piss easy fixtures early on, like going to old Trafford in round 3, whilst you had pto play the top team in the same round before you had time to build momentum. Hardly seems fair .Yes, and we have had the most difficult run of matches..

One league title in 35 years is hardly dominant. The only ones who have been dominant in recent times are Man City.It seems Liverpool have been a dominant force in football for so long now. Yet they have hardly won the big prizes.
If they don't win the league title this year. That will be over 5 years for a team considered one of the best in their history.
Definitely one of the best sides in the club’s history in past few years. Finishing above 90pts 3 times, getting to 3 CLs all points to excellence. It seems Liverpool have been a dominant force in football for so long now. Yet they have hardly won the big prizes.

Careful, we’ll start hearing about the points totals again. One league title in 35 years is hardly dominant. The only ones who have been dominant in recent times are Man City.
Oh for gods sake. Got to stop posting at my desk!Big fan of signing off caf posts like an email.
Bring back Klopp.
Nah, Klopp was absolutely outstanding at in game adjustments. My brother is convinced he will surpass Klopp. Apparently Slot is able to adapt in game on the fly whereas (in his opinion) Klopp sometimes didn't really have a Plan B.
I'm hoping once these good players go, they sign a few duds and just feck off into the darkness again.
I see what you did there!I’ll be convinced once Liverpool play someone above them in one of the various leagues they’re in.
Agreed, he has a settled team on his hands and there is no urgent need to add players to any position, they might do with a lethal striker aka Gyokeres, but they have Salah & Diaz scoring for fun, solid midfield and a very solid backline, and a decent bench that includes good options, hate to say it but they are looking to be the ones to give City a run for their money in terms league title challengeI think in a strange way Slot has been helped by the fact that Liverpool brought in hardly any players in the summer (except I think Chiesa who's barely played?)
That way, he's just been able to focus on making some tactical tweaks to an already settled team, and it's worked out perfectly for him so far. He hasn't had the added complication of trying to bed in 3 or 4 new signings into a team he's just taken over himself.
I wish he had brought a few Feyenoord "Antonys" with him and spent the season trying to incorporate them into the team!
Traversing the winter glut of games and being unprepared for both the intensity and need for rotation could well be their/his undoing, so there’s hope for capitulation yet.Agreed, he has a settled team on his hands and there is no urgent need to add players to any position, they might do with a lethal striker aka Gyokeres, but they have Salah & Diaz scoring for fun, solid midfield and a very solid backline, and a decent bench that includes good options, hate to say it but they are looking to be the ones to give City a run for their money in terms league title challenge
Looking for their next 'tough' fixture on what I can judge them on, Villa next but at home, Southampton away, Madrid but at home, City afterwards but at home. Would anyone be surprised if they won all them? Need to wait until December now for a juicy away game, which is at Newcastle...not seeing where they drop points and where we can potentially close that gap Robbie.....
