Well Matic is currently better that Carrick (significantly better defensively) and Fabregas is better than Herrera so...Who'd be better?

That chelsea midfield is nothing to write home about. PSG walked all over it for two legs, Verratti probably hasn't had an easier time on a football pitch.Well Matic is currently better that Carrick (significantly better defensively) and Fabregas is better than Herrera so...
PSG have a top class midfield. They also play 3 in the middle, so yes we struggled against it.That chelsea midfield is nothing to write home about. PSG walked all over it for two legs, Verratti probably hasn't had an easier time on a football pitch.
The first match between city and chelsea in the league was also an embarrassment for them.
Quite a few games went by this season when chelsea couldn't get a foothold in matches and that's with both those players on the pitch. Until Jose commits to one extra midfielder I'd have Herrera, Carrick and Turan any day of the week. In top level football 3 is better than 2 every day of the week.
It'd be stupid to sign him and not play him there. That's his natural position. Being played on the wing is him being misused to suit the sort of non football tactics that Simeone uses.PSG have a top class midfield. They also play 3 in the middle, so yes we struggled against it.
Arda is a winger/#10 anyways and wouldn't be played there for you.
Schneiderlin is the CM you seem to be signing. To reportedly be after both suggests to me that he would be played in a more advanced role. It'd be stupid to sign him and not play him there. He's not an attacking #10, more a controlling one that adds to a midfield rather than win matches.

Now that would be a fantastic midfield.-Turan----Hererra
---Schneiderlin---
so you don't rate Carrick, fair enough. at least for a United-supporting pretender I expect moreNow that would be a fantastic midfield.
yeah, unless LvG gets someone like Schweinsteiger, Carrick's role is still unique when playingI see all these line-ups without Carrick but he starts when fit. There is no chance van Gaal will drop him and rightfully so.
Arda wants out of Atleti: "We run too much here"
For many, 'less is more', and that certainly appears to be the case for Arda Turan. He did not use those exact words, but the Turk has explained his reasons for wanting to leave Atlético de Madrid: the money on offer at other clubs and the physical demands of Simeone's playing style.
The club had wanted the player to say exactly what he wanted, rather than listen to his agent. Following the trip to China, that conversation finally took place over the phone and the midfielder apologised for Ahmet Bulut's behaviour, but confirmed what his agent had said: that he wants out.
He wants to leave because he is struggling with the physical demands of Cholo's game. He would rather play in a system in which he is exempt from defensive duties. Arda missed several big games with what seemed to be minor injuries, including the last game of the 2013/14 season, the Champions League final, the last game of last season and the key game in their quest for third place, against Granada.
Atlético have told the Turk the conditions under which he may leave the club. His buy-out clause is €41m. Although they may not insist on as much, the club will only listen to serious offers.

Completely unnecessary comments . If he had simply said he needed a new challenge, in another league it would have been more than enough since probably atléticos imagine that he would leave this summer
lucky guys these footballers. It would be a pity that he ends in France. Would you like for United? He wants to work less and get paid more - don't hate him, carvajal.

Unless I'm reading the article wrong, he hasn't actually said anything?Yeah, those comments would completely rule him out as a Mourinho consideration if true.
A bit strange he would say those things as well because his work rate and defensive contribution are some of his best qualities apparently.
True, no direct quotes, but that is the reason he seemingly wants out at Atleti. Doesn't like Simeone's football.Unless I'm reading the article wrong, he hasn't actually said anything?
I don't think Hazard has many defensive dutiesAfter those comments I can't see Mourinho being interested.
He does. Much improved in that regard.I don't think Hazard has many defensive duties
As Orc mentions he has improved in that regard, but I also think Mourinho will only allow one player to have as much freedom as Hazard, it's why he plays the defensive winger Willian to balance him out.I don't think Hazard has many defensive duties

Anywhere but us. Possibly PSG.So..which is his most likely destination given his latest tweet all but confirming him leaving? Chelsea?
Only thing impressive about him is his beard. I would be very surprised if a top club will buy him.
My tweet above, 3-4 clubs interested.
Chelsea? City? Bayern? United?
Can only speculate at the moment but I'm sure he'll end up at a top club.
I would be surprised if any of the clubs you listed are seriously interested. He will probably end up at one of the Milan clubs.
Chelsea have been linked with him quite a bit in recent transfer windows, City need to replace Yaya as well. The two guys they got last season look pretty awful, Fernando and Fernandinho.
Time will tell though. Can AC Milan afford him?
