Here's the thing about Turan. He's a talented player and a good dribbler. He shows up in the big games more often than not. HOWEVER you cannot count on him to remain consistent throughout the season. There will be periods where he's bang average and then others where he plays like an alien. Good thing is even when he's poor he works hard defensively but the same could be said about every Atletico player.

He would instantly add a lot of quality and end product to your first 11. Should be a must buy for us if he is available at a non-ridiculous price.
Would definitely add quality to our squad/first XI. Just not sure if he has enough pace? We had a bit of an issue last season, being a bit too slow and predictable. Iirc, he's a similar type to Mata?

Different from Mata. Mata has much better end product, Turan is a better dribbler, very good in the air, physically strong, loves to hustle and has more pace. He can play left, right or centre but mostly plays on the right for Atletico.

I've watched Atletico a few times, but I'd be lying if I said he always stood out to me. Seems a hardworking, intelligent player though.
But it's also worth bearing in mind that it's difficult "to stand out" in that Atletico side, because it's all about the team work there.
Which would make him interesting for LvG right? If he can be a tidy teamplayer making the midfield stronger, he could fit in well. No idea if we're interested.

Hasnt looked all that last season when I watched Atletico. I'm a big fan of his normally but last year he was a bit underwhelming when I watched him.

Arda's a very good player. Extremely hard working, has a decent amount of flair, would carry out instructions well. All things that tick Van Gaal's boxes. I just can't believe with Van Gaal trying to make the Di Maria thing work, and having bought Memphis, that he will want another winger.

He's a good player but a 28 year old winger without great pace, so when he loses some and he's gotta play more centrally I think his value then drops and he's not quite a clever enough passer to really excel as a 10.

Please no. Suits atletico more than us and would only increase in making us for slow players what Milan were for old ones.

Really surprised at people saying he's too slow. He's not that fast but he's most definitely not slow and pace is rarely ever a hindrance for a dribbler(see Cazorla). Having said that i wouldn't want him here as he is just not consistent enough. I don't see him starting for many top european teams either. He should be thankful he's at a club where his inconsistency is overlooked because of his industrious defensive work. He's also 28 years old with a release clause of £32 million. Fantastic player though, but not worth the money.

Arda is a great player! Hard working, intelligent and good dribbler. Not sure why we would want him though. We have enough wingers, especially with how well Mata played last season.
To be honest I stopped asking myself this question, for me we need creators, he is a creator, we could do with him.
Edit: He isn't a winger, he is an attacking midfielder.
