Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Watching 13 reasons why now. First 2 episodes were very good, but the third one (best ass) was amazingly shit.

The main actor is incredibly annoying, but Hannah is stunning (looks a bit like a young Natalie Portman). The show gives me a bit of a Life is Strange vibe, which is good. I think I'll finish it.
I stopped watching after 4 episodes. Does it get better?

I'm still at episode 4, not really feeling the urge (but I think I will get back to it). Maybe @esmufc07 has finished it by now, he seemed to be in a similar situation of love-hating the show.

Fargo season 3 has started well and also enjoying Better Call Saul (<3 Kim)

Couple of weeks back I started Black Sails but I am unsure wether to carry on, worth it? Only watched 2 episodes.

Line of Duty - not enough people here watch it and it's great. It's the best BBC show in years.

First 2 seasons are on Netflix for anyone interested.

Liking Stan Lee's Lucky Man so far. I like how they balance the supernatural and cop show bits.

James Nesbitt is ace in it as well.

I thought the second half of the season was quite a bit better than the first half.

I didn't like it much. Really teeny. But then I guess that is its target audience.
I started watching the fifth episode but quit after 15 minutes. I think high school and suicide are intriguing topics, especially as a 21 year old who went to high school just 3 years ago, but felt the show portrayed every character too stereotypically.

Bossgirl (netflix) is good fun. Short 30min episodes. 13 episodes first season.

Mixed reviews, but i thought it was quite decent. Actually, it has some good insights.

3 students killed themselves in my town and it was it down to this show apparently. While it brings to light the plight of new school and what people go through it also for some kids obviously seems an easy way out.
I didn't like the show but it did give me an insight how much social media is as hurtful to a kid is. It's bullying in its purist form because you can't get away from i.

Really? I thought it was bad but it wasn't that bad.

Source? Can't find anything in google apart from the panic shouts that that kind of thing can happen.

Whether people actually killed themselves or not, depicting suicide as a cool revenge tactic (for kids!) always seemed hugely irresponsible, especially combined with the usual overly melodramatic portrayal of high school.

I've watched the first three episodes and it was a bit of a slog. I know it's meant to take off in Season 2 but it's a big ask to sit through ten or so hours of television to get to the good stuff. I'll persist though.

I started watching The Handmaid's Tale, which is dark and weird, with an excellent lead turn from Elisabeth Moss.
One or two episodes more will do the trick I reckon.

I liked 13 Reasons Why. Yes it's a little teenagey but I didn't find it too dramatic or OTT.

Is Fortitude worth a watch? I guess Amazon picked it up, so us yanks can watch it now.

Or maybe this is where I got the recommendation...I don't know...

I liked it too... almost inspite of itself. I mean, the first few episodes are quite slow, it's all a bit OTT like you say, and Hannah Baker is a pretty horrible human being, who is just a massive hypocrite (though thats actually something I like about the show, as i'm pretty sure it was intentional) ... but it was quite gripping and opens up a lot of discussion points.

I don't know, I don't think she was horrible but just made some very poor choices and was obviously suffering as a result of it.

Kevin can wait is quite funny and easy to watch if anyone is interested. Kevin James is hilarious!

Finished it now. I thought the middle part was the worst part of the show but I think it picks up in the last 4/5 episodes. Thought the actor who played Clay did a great job.

Worth a watch I would say, and there's a scene in the last episode which is horrible to see, but it didn't leave me wanting more.

Next up, Narcos.

if you don't mind subtitles, Occupied on netflix is very good indeed. Great plot (Norway discovering a new green energy source and taking itself out of the oil economy; is occupied byRussia and held to ransom by EU, and forced to mainatain oil & gas production from N sea platforms). Very tense, thought-provoking thriller. highly recommended.

Watching season 3 of Bosch on amazon. All 3 seasons are great if you like gritty detective dramas, (A bit similar to the Wire). Based on the books of Michael Connelly and they stay true to them.

At least 2 main characters from The Wire as well. And one from It's Always Sunny, which is distracting...

Can we get back to creating GOAT-tier shows? Too many average TV shows around...

i am thorougly enjoying "Lazy Company - band of losers" on Netflix atm. Its a french-made comedy series, following the adventures of a few not-all-that-brilliant US soldiers after D-Day in WW2. Its pure mad slapstick french style, one can see the punchlines approaching from a mile away and its still funny.. enjoyable, even if the absolute madness of the pilot is dropped by a certain degree in the subsequent episodes.

I tried to start various series like OitnB, Dexter, Hannibal, Line of Duty etc but was not convinced by any of them.
We started Sleeper Cell now and that looks really good.

I would seem that 12 Monkeys season 3 is due out 19th May and all 10 eps will be shown over 3 days.
There has been a 4th season announced that will be the Final season.

Great news.

Now the tits at Fox just need to renew The Exorcist, or sell it to a more suitable network.
