Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Such conflicting opinions about 13 reasons why in here. From amazing to total shite. I can't decide whether to give it a go or not. Will I know if I like it after the first episode or is it a slow burn?

You'll know after one episode.

Watch out with bad mouthing 13 Reasons Why, odds are you'll end up getting your own tape.

Started watching 13 reasons why at the weekend and it's incredible, dark, human psychology and some things in it are really hard to watch. Might seem like it's a show for teens but there are lessons to be learned in it..

Is one of them "talking exclusively in melodramatic Dawson's Creek dialogue is a sure fire way to make everyone hate you" by any chance?

Where can I get the Trip to Spain from? Dropped Sky last year :'(

Now TV is the best option for Sky's content these days, there's constant deals on boxes that come with 6 month passes.

Tried the first 2 episodes and not convinced so far. I think the main character is not believable.

You should stick with it, it's a brilliant show. The 'main' character really only stays the central protagonist for the first season and it becomes more of an ensemble show after that. The creator said that she always intended it to be an ensemble piece but needed one central arc to make it more palatable to TV execs and audiences (basically she needed a white woman to introduce a mass audience to a multi-ethnic cast).

Finished the 4th and last season of The Killing (US).

the first 2 seasons are world class! so good TV. If you enjoyed The Wire, i think you should give a watch.

The last 2 though, a big let down. Some good stuff now and then, but the quality level difference if huge.

Good thing is you can pretty much watch just the first 2 seasons as a stand alone show. No need to keep watching the rest unless you don't have anything else lined up. (still decent TV, just not as good)

If I recall correctly the first (maybe the second too) season was based on the original Danish series.

Not sure if it's available on Netflix or other services but just saw the first episode of The Midnight Sun. It was pretty damn good, quality tv.
It's from the same guys who brought you The Bridge (Bron/Broen).

Yeah good Show. I agree first 2 seasons were the best but Overall it is very solid.

We have watched Episode 1 of Shades of Blue yesterday and despite some bad critics I really like it.

It has some Kind of "old School" flavor reminding me of some Police movies/Thrillers from the 90s.

Midnight Sun is on Sky Atlantic and also available on Sky's box sets. I watched all of it in a week.

Haven't noticed any mention of Walter Presents (All4 - Channel4's online vehicle, with a few also shown on either Channel 4 or More 4) on here but most of the foreign tv shows he has selected are decent quality. Similar standard to BBC4 saturday night foreign drama: Borgen, The Killing, Spiral, The Bridge, Montelbano, Trapped etc. Just finished Mafiosa (all 5 series). Also watched Eyewitness, Nick's Law, Acquitted, The Team, Case, Elite Squad, Spin, Blue Eyes, Locked Up, Beauty and the Baker, The Out-Laws, The Border, Magnifica 70 (best so far), Framed, The Hunter, Inspector Borowski, Cenk Batu and Deutschland 83 (which was mentioned on here last year). Only one I struggled with is The Swingers. There's a few I never got round to watching.

I've been binging on Narcos. As someone who only has a basic knowledge of Pablo Escobar (to me he was that Colombian cocaine king who was filthy rich and shared surnames with the unfortunate CarlosAndres Escobar), some of the things this guy did amazed me ie: Imagine being so rich you had to bury actual cash all over the countryside.

You might wanna watch the ESPN documentary about Andres Escobar and Pablo Escobar. Fascinating documentary with great insights.

About halfway through 13 Reasons Why. The show is surprisingly addictive, because the overarching mystery is intriguing, especially trying to see what each character did to the dead girl but feck me the dead girl is such an annoying cnut. She's like Chris Jericho without charisma:

"You know what happens to people who don't think I'm stunning and the most beautiful girl in the world?? You're On The List!"

Cheers for that. And thanks for the low key correction of Andres' name.

I think she's meant to be that way. She is a 17 year old kid who was so insecure she kept trying to be popular (going to parties etc) even when the cool kids were tormenting her and she resented them. The goth girl was probably there as an example as to how you walk the talk in avoiding all the high school bullshit drama.

Watching 13 reasons why now. First 2 episodes were very good, but the third one (best ass) was amazingly shit.

The main actor is incredibly annoying, but Hannah is stunning (looks a bit like a young Natalie Portman). The show gives me a bit of a Life is Strange vibe, which is good. I think I'll finish it.

Been watching Breaking Bad over the month, some days ago I was at season 2 when I wanted to come in here and post that I didn't get the hype, but things escalated quickly in season 3 and 4 it's been amazingly thrilling and enjoyable

It's a terrible show with a quite demented morality. Has Netflix usual high quality production values but otherwise....eugh. Katherine Langford is a talented young actress though, and good to see another young Australian making waves.

It's high time you jumped on the Leftovers train, a kangaroo was shot the other week, shit's 'bout to go down soon.

Anyone seen Stan Lee's Lucky Man? I am thinking about watching it.

"From the mind of comic book legend Stan Lee comes a bold new action crime series about a brilliant but flawed police officer with the power to control luck."

First season is good , not seen the second one yet, I would recommend it.

This is starting tomorrow. Looks like it could be good potentially.

I've watched the first three episodes and it was a bit of a slog. I know it's meant to take off in Season 2 but it's a big ask to sit through ten or so hours of television to get to the good stuff. I'll persist though.

I started watching The Handmaid's Tale, which is dark and weird, with an excellent lead turn from Elisabeth Moss.
