Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

The Leftovers (HBO) - Easily for me, the most underrated thing on television. It's stunning. The third and final season is about to air. -

Plot: 2% population disappear. Emotional response towards the event. Rise in cults, decline in religion. Really gripping. Great Music/Score. This is perfect television you won't regret. Rating: 10/10.
Yes!
Can someone tell me how Rick & Morty, a cartoon, is on imdbs top 10 list of TV shows? Is it better than the simpsons?
1. Nerds
2. Because it's good

But mostly nerds.

I hated 13 Reasons Why - I'm still annoyed at the Mrs for insisting we persevered through all 13 episodes of that convoluted shite. It reminded me of how I felt about The OA but at least that got a few marks for the hilarity of it all.

I wanted to like Rick and Morty and the first few episodes were promising, a lot of ideas thrown at the wall and most of it worked. Then it started to descend into wubalubadub and get schwifty and the plots became too convoluted for their own good. It definitely doesn't have the effortless humour of something like early Simpsons but it's worth watching.

I watched episode one of mr Robot last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

@R.N7 @Jig1234 Was going to give Leftovers a try but seeing Lindelof's name put me off. Any similarities to his other work i.e. mysteries that go nowhere and disappointing resolutions?

His name put me off from watching it too for a while. I dislike Lindelof as much as the next man but he's pretty much played a blinder with Leftovers, show does a really good job of answering most of the questions it poses.

Definitely the best show on TV at the moment for my money.

I liked the pilot of "Incorporated", a futuristic world controlled by corporations

Rick and Morty is probably the funniest show on TV and The Leftovers is probably the best ongoing series. IMO it's main rivals are It's Always Sunny (season 12 recently finished) and Fargo (season 3 starts on the 19th).

Broad City normally would have continued about now but the 4th season doesn't start until August. If you haven't watched it you've got about 3 months to get "caught up" on the 3 series.

I've not seen much of his other works. I sort of loved and hated Lost at various points. But If you watch The Leftovers I'm sure you won't be disappointed! It's fantastic.

Because you get judged as an entire body of work on IMDB. If they'd have stopped making the simpsons at the end of season 10ish then it would be a lot higher, as it is there is literally hundreds of episodes of absolute dross. Rick and morty hasn't made a wrong step yet, it has been 2 seasons of genius.

Same as Nilssy, didn't watch it for a while because of Lindelof's name, but it's actually excellent. I don't fully agree that it does a 'really good job of answering most of the question it poses', I think it leaves quite a bit unanswered... but I think it sets the tone right that it doesn't come across as laziness but rather contributes to the overall eeriness of the show.

Yeah, was gonna mention that it does leave a lot of room for mystery also but couldn't really word it, what I really meant was there's a lot small stuff where you think the show is getting preposterous but it calls itself on it, like the bagel going missing in the toaster that ends up with a logical conclusion.

Rick and Morty is good but it gives me a headache after awhile. Jerry the dad is fecking funny though. We got into that trap of chain watching episodes after smoking bud and got to that one where there are a million Morty's and it was too much to handle it. The new episode from the other day was good actually.

Arrested Development is obvious and always gets mentioned. I started it last week and it's another good'un.

I've also just realised that I've been skipping every single segment of 'and on the next episode of Arrested Development' needlessly! In fact I've missed seeing loads of stories getting wrapped up. feck sake

Just started watching Into The Badlands. The first 5 minutes, holy shit!

Watched two episodes of 13 Reasons and hated absolutely everyone in it, including the dead girl.

The super melodramatic way American media treats high school is literally insane.

freaks and geeks, whose clever idea was it to cancel this gem. Fantastic series, such a shame we will never know what happened to Carlos the dwarves fighter.

Try Into The Badlands, it's cheesy as feck but the martial arts is incredible.

Started watching 13 reasons why at the weekend and it's incredible, dark, human psychology and some things in it are really hard to watch. Might seem like it's a show for teens but there are lessons to be learned in it. I honestly think I might watch it again it's truly amazing.
Also I guess if you have kids it's a good way to see how life and social media and so on has evolved and formed new ways of bullying and stuff.

Into The Badlands is good. Some absoulutly epic fight scenes. In one episode sure he takes on about 40 guys.
Vikings, Archer quite enjoy Lucifer for a laugh.

Such conflicting opinions about 13 reasons why in here. From amazing to total shite. I can't decide whether to give it a go or not. Will I know if I like it after the first episode or is it a slow burn?
