Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I've watched the first episode twice and both times enjoyed it but just not gotten round to watching any more.

Anyone watched Big Little Lies?

Great cast and plot sounds interesting.

It's probably been mentioned a thousand times in this thread already, but Peep Show is bloody great.

I haven't enjoyed a TV show as much as that before.

Is there anything else quite like it?

There's nothing quite like it but The Thick of It and The Office are probably the most similar in tone. The same writers worked on Fresh Meat but it's a bit hit and miss and features far too much Jack Whitehall.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Mr Robot is world class.
It was interesting. Surprised to find something like that from USA (the channel).
Watching Fargo season 2 on netflix. Watched season 1 but for some reason didn't get hooked on season 2 after 2 episodes.

Now on episode 5 and it's bloody awesome.

Also there's a very intriguing looking show just come on Netflix called "13 reasons why."

Also surprised by how much I liked Fargo. It's like True Detective based in the upper Midwest with a heavy dose of dark comedy, which is not surprising given the Coen Brothers' involvement. They lost me a bit at the end of season 2 though...

'13 Reasons Why' is good, just finished it up on Netflix.
The whole plot is based on the fact that he can't fecking listen to the tapes and figure it all out later, when he has all information. A little hard to be invested in the main character, he is so frustrating! The show is still catchy

I'm not quite there yet, got 3 episodes to go. I really like Dodd Gerdhart, very brutal character.

Yeh that's something they've changed about from the books in order to dramatise it I guess.
He actually listens to the tapes in one coffee fuelled night in the books

Thanks, big fan of The Office, both the UK and US series, although I must say I did prefer the US version.

I've watched Fresh Meat which wasn't bad, but not exactly great even though it did have some funny moments.

Will check out The Thick of It which I've never come across before, cheers!

Why hasn't Gotham season 3 started on Channel 5 in the UK Yet? It seems very bizarre seeing as the two previous seasons started about 6 weeks after they premiered in America.

No nothing is really similar, if you haven't seen the Mitchell and Webb look there is some great moments in there but its a sketch show so I caution its extremely hit and miss. Its hits are great though. As for the thick of it recommendation, it isn't really similar but its so so good, also there is a spin off film called in the loop which is one of the funniest films I have seen.

Thanks, yes, I didn't mind the Mitchell and Webb look, but I could never really get into it as much as Peep Show.

Will also take a look at In the Loop, thanks for the suggestion.

Also check out the US spinoff after that, Veep. Not as good IMO and Ianucci is no longer involved, but we're unlikely to see any more TToI unfortunately.

Anyone seen The Fall? 3 episodes in and very good so far.
Rape fantasy for chicks. Ending is crap. Sorry.

While waiting for another season of Game of Thrones, I take Homeland and Designated Survivor on the playlist. The Survivor one has been brilliant with intense drama and thriller.

Binge watching this one right now with the wife. On episode five. I'mnot feeling it so far but it's gotten so many good reviews I.feel compelled to finish it.

Sneaky Pete on Amazon is very good fun. It's like a con trick thriller with Bryan Cranston as the baddie.

+1 for designated survivor. Although the plot is not very original, i thoroughly enjoy the series and the current season is nothing if not fast paced. So maybe there is something in store for the flawless Kirkman family:D
also watching "Bosch" currently (worth it for Titus Welliver alone) ad just finished S2 of "Alpha House" which is absolutely fun. With Saul and Fargo at the starting line, an interesting spring is ahead :)

btw has "Bloodline" been mentioned? S01 was, well, bloody good indeed.

There are quite a few fans on here, I think there may even be a dedicated thread. Season 1 was great, very atmospheric and slow, and the character development was very good. Ben Mendelsohn especially was excellent. The 'cliffhanger' at the end of the season got me expecting the worst for season 2 which I haven't started watching yet.

Watched the penultimate episode of the third series of Broadchurch last night. Not seen much talk of it but its been good, a lot better than then second series. Having comedians (Lenny Henry, Charlie Higson) playing major characters was initially weird but they've carried it off well.

I recently just finished/currently Watch:

13 Reasons Why - Fantastic series: It's very addictive and It's an important watch. I think most people will enjoy it. It's only one season: 13 episodes. Available on Netflix Rating: 9/10.

Designated Survivor:
Amazing if you've seen '24' or 'House of Cards' you'll love this. Great combination of FBI/Government Conspiracy complemented with political affairs. Rating: 9/10. - Available on Netflix

I'd also recommend: The Night Of (HBO), The NewsRoom.

Iron Fist:
I've watched Iron Fist but I didn't like it i found it to be very convoluted and confusing a very weak show compared to the other Marvel shows on Netflix.
Rating: 6/10

Legion (FX) - If you're into X-Men/Mutants (Marvel). This is fantastic. It's made by FX so it has that creepiness you'd expect from them. If you've seen American Horror Story you'll know what I mean. It's very dark compared to any other Marvel TV series. It's brilliant done. Unique and very different. Rating: 9/10.

The Leftovers (HBO)
- Easily for me, the most underrated thing on television. It's stunning. The third and final season is about to air. -

Plot: 2% population disappear. Emotional response towards the event. Rise in cults, decline in religion. Really gripping. Great Music/Score. This is perfect television you won't regret. Rating: 10/10.
