Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I was naming TV shows that come under different genres. I listed superhero fiction, a spin off, fantasy drama, musical, a teen drama, a sitcom and legal drama.
@Rado_N What show is it similar too?
Hmm, tough to draw a direct comparison really. It's dialogue heavy and very well written & acted, kind of like West Wing was, but it's a legal drama at heart. Not sure it's really similar to anything I can think of tbh.

Thanks. I'm downloading the Season 1 box set on Skydemand right now, and will watch in a couple of weeks. Don't know if you've seen Suits, but would you say they're somewhat similar?

Not really, Suits has a kind of light hearted feel to it whereas Billions is much more straight drama, it's also much better than Suits even though I do like the latter as well. Or did at least.

I see, if it's half as good (albeit different) as Suits, then I'm likely to thoroughly enjoy it.

It's a bit like the film Margin Call, if you've seen that, but with less consistently good acting, and some poor subplots (which was easy to avoid for Margin Call that was a 2 hour film and not a 10 hour show).

It's ok, but some of it is very shoddy (some of the dialogue is dreadful) and at times it drags a bit. But Giamatti, Lewis and Maggie Siff are all three very good and reason enough to give it a good chance. If you're hooked by the storyline, you'll feel the need to pursue despite its flaws (which was my case).

Y'all should check out the new show Outcast, it is a Cinemax series.

"A young man searches for answers as to why he's been suffering from supernatural possessions his entire life."

Probably the only 'scary' horror show I have seen, so far two episodes in and I am already hooked. And since it is a Cinemax series there is plenty of nudity, violence and gore. I predict this will be a big hit, probably the biggest hit in this new wave of possession, supernatural, religious themed series we see now. There are atleast two other series based around the same theme coming out, including a Exorsist series.

Whose line is it anyway, is back for Season 12 for those that just want to laugh like silly for 21 minutes.

No, not yet. It's strongly recommended by @Cina, so I'm reluctant. But he was right about Silicon Valley, so I'm not sure what to believe anymore.
He made me watch it and I'm glad he did, it hurts to say. The show stirs up many conflicted feelings, would be interesting to get your take on it.

You should have known to watch Silicon Valley due to the thread starter.

Ok, I trust your words. I'll get onto it when I've finished Bureau des Légendes, a French show I'm currently watching (with Kassovitz).

Do you watch Silicon Valley? I feel like Gilfoyle is like what you'd be like in real life.

I watched the pilot a while ago but didn't keep on watching.

If you like adventure and a bit of history, these shows are quality entertainment, in my view:

1. Rome
2. Spartacus: War of the Damned (first season only)
3. Spartacus:Gods of the Arena
4. Black Sails
5. Marco Polo
6. The Last Kingdom (only first season is out, pretty solid).

Silicon Valley is great,

That Got-Silicon-Veep 2 hour run is the king of TV right now. Killing it. I never though Veep would match the Thick of It's levels, but it is. Top stuff.

Wow, high praise. I've acquired this, haven't started it, but I wanted a good political based show and this was recommended. Is it as funny as The thick of it?

I really enjoyed the first season of Silicon Valley but for some reason season two just isn't doing it for me so far.

After I watched The Wire, Mad Men and The Sopranos, I just refuse to watch anything that's labeled 'decent'. It has to be great, otherwise I just can't spend hours and hours on it.

I tried to give it a few more chances, but this season has me losing interest. It doesn't have the characters like Veep to keep it going during weak episodes.

I've recently acquired NowTV and I'm toying with starting the Sopranos once Game of Thrones has finished. Sell it to me guys.

Maffia awesome, bang bitches and guns, chop limbs and garbage trucks, money, mortadella, mascarpone.

The whole 86 episodes thing is putting me off. Does it maintain its quality to the end?

It's better than Game of Thrones.

My benchmark at the moment is Breaking Bad. I love GoT but have been slightly disappointed by it considering the hype. I was expecting more.

I really miss Mad Men.

I am watching it at the moment, I am at the start of the third season and really enjoying the show. Looked shit at first, but got hooked up pretty quickly.

I liked it. I suppose some episodes are similar to others and forgettable but you get that with most shows. Only way to find out if you like it is to watch it. I'd recommend Gomorra like Swanson said. Oz if you haven't watched it is good too, set in a prison.

Rome is truley epic. If you like these kinds of series check out The Borgia. Not quite as much blood and guts action, but still a very good show.

Go watch Six Feet Under, it's great.
