I don't think any celebrity is naive enough to think any comment they make via Twitter/social media on a contentious issue will remain exclusively on their timeline and won't be picked up by the papers. Not in this day and age.
So no celebrity should voice their opinion on any sporting, political, criminal matter of public interest?
They all do all the time, I'm quite sure she isn't the only one to do so in respect of MG or Antony, never mind the fact that she has a long and well documented association to the club as a fan.
It's the presentation of that one person's opinion above others and the sensationalist way it's presented that is influencing the narrative, more than the opinion in its own right.
People still think RR was the determining factor in the greenwood case which I think is a huge reach - even if she was, that is an abysmal reflection on the club their process and not her.
That she is somehow to blame for holding an entirely reasonable opinion and thinking MG would be playing for us if not for her is daft. She has a right to voice her opinion on these matters and anyone is entitled to disagree.
She isn't claiming to act on behalf of or speak for all United fans. How dare she, a famous woman who is a United fan take a stance on allegations of domestic and sexual abuse by United players and how the club deals with it!
