Anthony Martial to Spurs | Bouhafsi : "Bid rejected"

You're acting as if he's an untouchable for us (and maybe that is the public perception), but who knows what Jose/Ed think behind the scenes?

He's already costing us around £60m. Spurs have continually proven to be very awkward to deal with. Are they seriously now rolling in with a big-money bid for one of our best prospects and expecting a result?

I'd be very surprised.

Glaston now also as an ITK.

The gift that never stops giving.

Your ears always hear what they want to hear. But surely you have to break your wage structure and pay through the nose for Martial?

To be clear, I've no idea whether this single-media-source story concerning Spurs is just click-bait or has legs. Mostly likely, judging by most media stories concerning football, it's the latter.

However, I think what's probably true is that Martial is unhappy at United and wants out. Whether he wants out enough to accept a pay cut is a different question, but Spurs most certainly would not break their wage structure for him, even assuming that we wanted him in the first place.

I will lose all faith with Jose if he sanctions the sale of Martial(especially to spurs who don't sell to EPL rivals).

No, I am not ITK, and have never claimed to be so. But one or two other people are. People with a proven track record. Believe it or not ... it matters little to me.

Madrid won't sell us anyone without De Gea in return.

We shouldn't sell Spurs anyone without Alli or Kane in return.

It would be a bit stupid to sell him though. He definitely has shown his potential over the last 2 seasons, can definitely play in the positions required. Just needs some confidence and settled game time.

Media reports of Spurs players being unhappy = obviously bullshit.

Single media report of Martial being unhappy = seems true.

Glaston gonna Glaston.

All the potential in the world won't do him any good if Mourinho doesn't think he will realize it. So it could make sense to sell him now rather than watch his value drop while he sits on the bench.

If we sell him for less than we bought him I'll be pretttttty annoyed. If we sell him to Spurs I'll be fuming.

Which is why I wrote the 3rd sentence also. He just needs to play regularly and that's it.

Also, Mou plays Rashford on the wing regularly, so I am not so sure.

Glaston gonna Glaston.

Did the media report say that Martial was unhappy? I've no idea, since I've not read it. My understanding, which may be mistaken, is that it simply reported a bid.

My suggestion that Martial wants out comes from elsewhere.

I'd sell him to Spurs for 50m+. I hate to give up on young players so soon, but I don't think he fits Mourinho's system at all, and he just looks like a miserable cnut all the time.

From having sky high expectations after his first season, I now have rock bottom ones a year later.

I'd prefer to pocket the cash and use it towards a deal for Mbappe or Dembele.

fickle

Surely we'd want £50 million + , and Martial would want £120 k +, so it's a non starter even if we did want to sell.

Will be make or break for Martial this season with us though.

Really? Wow you must have a scoop. Where and from whom did you hear that?

That's irrelevant, because you wouldn't know them from Adam.

Anyhow, let's not get side-tracked. I have reason to believe the suggestion that Martial is unhappy, wants out and that his agent has been doing to rounds concerning this. If you don't believe it, then fair enough.

From your sources. Of course.

This. You just know Poch would sort him out and get Martial firing again. Still mind-boggling how Lingard starts over him.

Yep. Obvious WUM is obvious.

I wouldn't want to see it happen but like most United fans I'm not sure if José rates him

It's a world cup year and France have an embarrassment of riches up top. Tony could well miss out on Russia if he's a bit part player here again

He has all the talent in the world, I hope he knuckles down but if he doesn't want to fight and the price is right....

In no world should Manchester United consider strengthening a club we will need to compete with this season.

Forget selling Martial .....but make a bid for Ali.

Ali would definitely want away if the offer was right ....he has no allegiance to Spurs.

Someone find Glaston's posts about none of our players getting into the Spurs team before he edits them.
