Anthony Martial to Spurs | Bouhafsi : "Bid rejected"

Dembele has to want to join us. Mbappe too.

Neither is available for 100m either.

How do we know that Dembele doesn't? Dembele can be got for close to that price. Maybe 10M more.

It was really an off the cuff statement. I just am not enormously attached to Martial. I know he's a fan favourite because of his fancy footwork; but he largely disappoints in every other aspect of his play. Hopefully, he can make significant strides this season. He has lots of talent, but talent doesn't mean much if you don't have the application and drive to go with it. I have a lot of doubts about him.

No way we sell or loan Martial, that will only leave us with 2 pure natural strikers.

I can't believe I'm reading this. We've come to the point where Spurs are actually bidding for our players. Will Moyes collateral damage ever stop? Just the marketing point of view alone is a serious problem for us when this hits the press all around the world. We should never ever be on the receiving end of a negotiation with a club like that. Spurs should NEVER and WILL NEVER get to buy a player we use in our first squad. I don't give a shit what they offer us - just turn it down. Only MEGA CLUBS and MEGA BIDS should get in touch with our fax machine. How did they even get in contact with us in the first place???? And we're all pretty pissed with Levy and his way of going about business. He's got the guts to contact us after nightmare transfers like Berbatov and a lot of cocky replies on gentlemanly bids on their players. Btw, I'm sure the rest of his squad is pretty pissed with his North Korean style of rewarding amazing prospects and loyal guys who wants to take the next step in their career.

Is there anyone in the world of football who likes Levy at all? Selling a guy like Walker (a freaking right back!!!) for a sum making him the most expensive English player is just an acknowledgment on what a dirty pig Levy really is. And going by rumors he's even cocky against clubs like Real Madrid. It's one thing holding on to your players and protecting your club against bigger clubs; but being a stubborn id**t who demands astronomical money for his players while at the same time showing appreciation for these very players by paying them peanuts as compensation for their services and not thinking twice about riding high on the players image rights/endorsement YOU NAME IT.

You want Martial?? WE will let you know when you can have Martial. WE will make the call on that the day we decide if he's good enough to play for us or not. It will not be down to your dirty money. €20m, €40m, €300m - it makes no difference. Change the number or block them out. Kane and Dele can go wherever they want, I don't want us to do more business with Spurs. Goodbye.

That's the spirit, bravo

Because he is going on strike and missing training to force a move to another club?

That's irrelevant, because you wouldn't know them from Adam.

Anyhow, let's not get side-tracked. I have reason to believe the suggestion that Martial is unhappy, wants out and that his agent has been doing to rounds concerning this. If you don't believe it, then fair enough.

Dier wanted to join United, and Danny Rose is clearly unhappy following all the nagative public comments and perhaps thought about jumping ship, but you keep banging on about Contracts and the Club holding all the cards etc. so apply your own logic here for once.

Spurs constantly demand top fees for their players, £50m for Walker for example, yet we both know they are too tight to pay the required fee for Martial so it's a non-story. Levy has refused to do business with United yet thinks he can bid for our player? Does he realise that's also doing business? Hypocrite for wanting top fees and not being willing to offer them.

Right but if Barca don't cough up the readies, then no reason why he wouldn't be up for a move here. But either way, there are a lot of players I'd take over Martial.

Excuse me? I haven't said that the bid story is true and I haven't commented on the likelihood of a deal being reached even it is true. So I don't know why you are rounding on me about it.

The odds of us are signing him are slim to none. Thats why its pointless even bringing him up.

We aren't shopping in the Dembele aisle for a Martial replacement.

Getting a Perisic or someone of that ilk.

Oh well, whatever. Not really that bothered to be honest. I fully expect our limp attack to have another painfully wank season.

Club chairman in wanting situations to suit his own club shocker

You said - you don't mind martial going because he isnt particularly suited to Jose's team type.

That's fair enough; but José has a habit of making a sufficient trophy winning team that won't stick around long.

Thinking long term - selling martial and not keeping him simple because he is neither your or Jose's cup of tea is a wrong thing to do.

José is the short term option here.

Buying mbappe and playing him on the left would just as well be as bad management as what we are seeing with martial at LW.

We've already learnt this window that Levy doesn't sell to the direct rivals, but does he buy from them?

I would'nt mind loaning him to them if we get Perisic. I think a year under Pochettino and playing in a dynamic and fluid attack can be very beneficial for him.

Indeed

feck that. Last season he had a lot of shit going on off the field I blame that mostly on his performance, he's a top tier talent and if he gets his head cleared (already looks more focused in pre season) he will be vital for us.

No... I want to know why you trust this supposed source whether I believe you or not. What is his track record or his connection to any of the parties involved?

It's ok because my sources say Alli wants out and his agent has been gauging interest as well

Mourinho less than a week ago, said he won't be sold.
Don't see why this thread has to go on much longer.

To be fair that's June 28th, and as we've seen with coutinho 6 weeks is a long time for someone to keep the same stance
I wasn't saying what he said still stood, I was just saying Glastons rumours are bollocks, but using Martials tweet to do this.

Gotcha. I'm still waiting for him to answer my question about wanting him or not.

He'll say the same as he did when asked the same on Pogba last season. Yeah sure, but he'll have to fight for his place like the rest.

Sure, if the price and wages asked for were reasonable. He has a lot of potential and maybe just needs the right manager to develop it properly.

What would you value him at/be content with paying as far as a transfer fee goes?

What is the right price?

Martial isn't going anywhere.... let alone Tottenham... Levy can suck it. If there's only one transfer I would consider, that would be a loan deal for Martial at Dortmund with Dembele coming over in exchange.

please.. if we were to sell Martial, bayern, ac milan, juve, inter, of the top of my head would come in for him probably psg as why the fk not lol.

you offer nothing as a club compared to the above glaston just being in the prem is not a big sway.

April 1st?! I remember when we accepted a bid from Spurs for OGS - and he told them to rod off! Martial is not going to Spurs.

Spurs are obviously desperate - clearly there is discontent in the camp, and they have signed literally no one and can't flog the flops they bought last summer. Levy the genius.

Bollox.

You've simply acted on impulse. Probably read a questionable story on the internet regarding Martial's supposed unhappiness at United, which of course got you excited to the core. And in a moment of which could only be described as "uncontrollable delirium" you made a beeline for Redcafe intent on upsetting the natives with your newly discovered, misinformed rhetoric. You failed. We don't care. The chances of Spurs signing Martial are non-existant.

A) Spurs could not afford to front the initial asking fee.

B) Spurs could not afford to pay his weekly salary.

C) Spurs do not grant release clauses in their players contracts. And you can bet your last quid to a barn dance that Martial would require nothing less than a release clause.

It's never gonna happen.
