When has Woodward not paid the players well enough? Its been enough of an issue that we were struggling to move players with high wages. As a 21 year old Martial will make more than enough bank if he can keep his performance level up under Mourinho.
I think he is paid less than Lingard which will be a craw in his mind for the time being.
That settles it, he's clearly off. One foot in London already.
Surprisingly the likes of Herrera, Bailly, Lindelof, Rojo and Blind are all on less than Lingard.
I never said Spurs would get him, as I dont believe we would pay as much as you would want. But him being a super sub is good for United but not really for him and his chances to get on the plane to Russia and have any chance of getting into the France starting 11.

Clear that a move for Martial to the trophyless spuds would be a major step down for him, even with losing the 'finished higher than united two years running competition' to them. Looks like Mourinho is showing the know how to manage a mercurial player like Martial, or at least the signs look promising. I dont even think 25m for a season long loan would be enough for our Tony.

That may be accurate. All those players came from abroad where they were earning much less than what they earn at United, plus the fact that Lingard just renewed his contract. I am sure if those players get their contract extended, they probably will earn more than Lingard.
They all signed contracts when Lingard was on at max 20k per week. When they renew they will earn more than Lingard.
Also Herrera is reportedly on 80k per week, Lingard is on 75k plus bonuses.
I figured that was the case just surprised.
Why is this thread still going? It's obvious that he's not for sale, so it doesn't matter if Spurs could afford him or not.
