I don't think it's that big a deal that Martial got left out today. Jose expected us to have a tough time defensively and went with the guy he trusts defensively. And we won. Martial will get his chance soon.

Martial fans are an aggressive bunch. Better leave.
Why not call them United fans who are interested in seeing one of our brightest attacking players play more often than he currently is?

I never said that. I said he was an exceptional talent. I didn't you how to judge him. Do you need to be told these things too?

Another post that lets the forum down. At least make an effort to read FFS.
Because he is a sensational talent and you're judging him as a player, clearly

So what is the implication here then, genius?

I read the "f*cking" thread. You, on the other hand, didn't read or understandosts young understand posts you were quoting so well done on that.
This isn't even a sentence.

Ooh using my line back on me. What a comeback from the newbie.
'The newbie.' Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

You don't remember the meltdown during the Madrid game then. Revise it. Some were saying he should be loaned for 2 years till Jose is sacked then return.

And saying the majority of people's opinions on both players I found that will hardly happen if the situation is reversed IMHO. Martial is the only player who you see his thread in such a mess each time he doesn't play.

Don't really remember, but I think the main concern of people here is that we don't lose a potentially great player. At least for a majority of posters.

Rashford thread doesn't get bumped this way simply because Jose plays him much often, even after a bad game.

That's not why he left. Google 'De Bruyne', 'Courtois' and 'girlfriend'. Maybe then you'll see why he wanted to leave Chelsea.

He literally gave you the exact quote of De Bruyne saying he left because he didn't get time on the pitch. There is only person talking absolute bullocks and it's not MThomas.

If the reverse happened with Rashford, I can't imagine how much furor it would generate...especially in the media. Every Paul Merson-esque idiot on television would be screaming about it at every given opportunity.
I guarantee that wouldn't happen.

All this "Jose doesn't like him" bollocks. Some people just don't learn quickly. The exact same stuff was being said about Mkhi last season and it was fecking obvious what Jose was trying to do. He wanted to see a change in Mkhi before he trusted him. That happened, now he plays every game despite stinking the place out. There were many @MThomas type posts about him definitely being sold.

The same is happening here, Jose doesn't have some vendetta against Martial. It honestly surprises me how people can't see what Jose is trying to do. And then they wonder why Jose doesn't lavish praise on him. He even mentioned the improvement in body language after the last fecking game. That is a clue, Jose wasn't happy with Martials attitude and he wants a reaction and is testing him. Fergie used to do this all the time, just fecking roll with it and hopefully we'll see a better player at the end.

And Suarez didn't use a racial slur. I mean, he said as much!

FFS...

That guy you quoted is stubborn and tends to bury his head in the sand.

I'm telling you he's extremely talented, genius. Is he not? I was correcting you since you were talking about his "crap season" which had nothing to do with my post. Either way it shouldn't surprise anyone why people care about Martial.

'The newbie.' Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?
Yeah it pales in comparison from the drivel I'm reading from you in this thread.

Easier to lump people in various groups and play us vs. them.

My main idea is criticizing the manager for not playing him is sensible and I have no problem with it, but each time he doesn't play we see posts about him getting sold, the manager hates him and he should leave, this is nonsense and not a sensible discussion IMO and it doesn't happen with any other player. We should stop this. Criticize the manager for not playing in such a game for such reasons but without the need of inventing theories about him getting sold. It's pathetic and boring tbh. Martial will never get sold and he'll start many games this year.

I think it's as simple as Rashford is English and from the Academy, Jose knows he's expected to make him a key player and unfortunately for Martial the only role Mourinho can give him regular starts in is his position, it feels like no matter what Martial does he will never get the preferential treatment Rashford is afforded, and the fact the #9 role will be occupied for the foreseeable future makes it even harder and he won't play Rashford on the RW because with both on we concede too much control, Mata is playing so much as he's essentially an extra piece of the midfield that helps our possession.

This might not have been the best game for Martial seeing how Jose went all defensive. But any big game - and Rashford will definitely be preferred. Mourinho just doesn't trust Martial and never will.

I'm telling you he's extremely talented, genius. Is he not?

Again, you said:

Because he is a sensational talent and you're judging him as a player, clearly

You could have said "he's extremely talented". But you didn't. You said "you're judging him as a player, clearly". What should I judge him as, a balloon? You are full of shit and watching you tie yourself in knots is very amusing.

I was correcting you since you were talking about his "crap season"

Correcting me? I said he had a crap season. Are you saying he didn't?

which had nothing to do with my post. Either way it shouldn't surprise anyone why people care about Martial.

The irony is strong in this one. I'm pretty sure there are spambots in the newbies that made more sense than you do. No offence.

Testing him

We're back to insane suggestions.

Who has said anything about hate?

How is "Martial will never get sold" a sensible claim ?

Such poor management by José of two of our best young players.

Rashfprd is playing LW whilst martial is getting ousted out of the team intentionally.

What's worse is; I don't think it's benefitting Rashfprd all that great. The guy is being played in a position that wouldn't bring the best out of him.

Shame really; thought José would be able to shake off his usual habits out here but looks like it's not possible. Never mind probably only a year or two of him that the young ones have to deal with him. Thank the lord for that

Testing him

We're back to insane suggestions.

What was he doing with Mkhitaryan last season, who got even less chances? Was he looking to sell him but just hasn't managed to find a buyer yet and just happens to start him every week now?

He did the same with Shaw too and he's still here. Weird.

How would you handle an incredibly talented young player that wasn't 100% right in his attitude? Play him every week regardless?

Martial will never get sold. Why must we endure such a pathetic discussion every time he doesn't fecking play a match ? I saw Herrera, our POTY of the year last year started only one game and get scraps of minutes and we never see this pathetic moaning about him not playing.

Second episode of the massive meltdown that happened after the Madrid game, and it'll repeated throughout the whole season every time a game passes without him playing. He must play every minute every match or the manager hates him and he'll get sold.

I'll say it again. Some here are worried about Martial's future more than the club itself, as if they're supporting Martial FC not Man United FC.
That is so obvious tbh, spot on. Very reminiscent of the Kagawa cult.

Simply this

He's played a total of 122 minutes in 6 games in the PL so far. And despite doing (very) well whenever given the chance, he never seems to be rewarded for it. It's obvious Jose does not like him.
Appearance stats in the league (minutes may be 1 or 2 out here and there)

Mkhi was shit last season...If Mkhi was providing assists and goals like Martial has done so far this season, you think he would've been out of the team as a test ?

Thanks for proving me correct by bringing up my posts.

The lesson is that if you're quoting someone reply to the point they're making and the context they're posting in. But I doubt you've learned anything given you keep spouting the same nonsense pos after post defending your shit initial posts. You probably should have remained with the spambots given that was your level. No offense, like.

Rashford is benefitting. It's making him a more well rounded player.

Thanks for addressing absolutely nothing. I don't blame you, to be fair. You embarrassed yourself pretty badly.

Loved Tony since he burst onto the scene against pool a couple of years back but let's have some perspective He's a top top talent with bags of potential but he isn't Messi. Jose clearly has a stategy for the season and he is very much a big part of it. There will be plenty of opportunities ahead for him to show how good he is and for the record, we did actually win today:)

Repeating myself here but is there any reason why Rashford couldn't play on the right with Martial playing on the left? Rashford's crossing is better than his shooting.

When was the last time, without an injury crisis, that he started consecutive matches ?

Rashford is benefitting. It's making him a more well rounded player.

He started as a winger not a CF; he doesn't need to learn how to play on the wing - if he does it's such a marginal benefit compared to the benefit he would receive playing upfront. José is definitely slowing his progress down.
