I do wonder if he'll ever be a prolific goalscorer. He's a very composed finisher but technically he's very poor sometimes. No doubt he'll be a fantastic player but perhaps not as a striker.

In a team that scores a lot it shouldn't be a big problem I think. He reminds me at times very much of Neymar who still misses awful lot but still scores lot of goals, and is regarded as good goalscorer by many people. Of course don't think he is as good goalscorer as Neymar yet.
He's only really got that side foot finish. Though on the odd occasion he has shown he can smash them, but he barely ever tries it. I'm sure he can, just needs to show it more
Been excellent, but I still wish he wouldn't do the hesitation thing every time — he's good enough and explosive enough to just go for it if the space is there, without delaying.
Just has to improve his final ball, does all the right things leading up to a final decision and often gets that wrong. All part of the development though. Ronaldo was similar when he first came to United.
Martial needs to find a new agent. Can't have him bad mouth each time Martial gets dropped.
He really needs to work on his finishing technique. That's the only thing holding him back at the moment. Problem is it's actually atrocious.
Martial was great again today especially in the first half. He looks like a different player than at the start of the season which is credit to himself and to Mourinho. I just hope he starts the next two/ three matches and gets a bit of a run going because he deserves it.
Hopefully the start of a run of games but think Mourinho will rotate again against Hull and will prefer Rashford and Mkhi against Liverpool.

Fantastic today. He seems to have got his confidence back. He gets the ball and just drives at his opponent like he was doing lasts season. Frightening when he's running at full throttle with such close control. Very good and beautiful finish.
I thought he faded a bit in the second half but was brilliant in the first, his awareness of where his passing options are as he drives inwards is improving.

It seems he made a good point about wanting to increase his endurance a few weeks ago judging from today's match. Excellent in the first half but looked weary in the second.

I think you're being too pessimistic with Martial chances of starting our next two games. Rashford played well vs West Ham when he came on but in the context of the game they were tired and had Nordtveit at RB. Clyne is one of the better right backs in the league and Jose will pick his best player on left wing which would be Martial. He has been immense in his last 2 starts and doesn't make sense to drop him again after a performance like that.

I agree but all I'm saying is I think Mourinho will play a team against Hull who mostly didn't play today and against Liverpool will probably prefer Rashford for the defensive side of things as Liverpool will have an attacking right hand side.
No way Martial doesn't play against Hull or Liverpool, we may rest him for Hull but he's very dangerous at the moment, playing too well to leave him out against the dippers.
IMO, Martial is better defensively than Rashford and he looks more comfortable in that wide role as well. Thankfully, Mane is still on international duty, so we won't have to deal with him either
I'm sure you must have noticed today that Martial was tracking back in 90th minute even when we were 4-0 up, his work rate has improved a lot and he did track back a lot to help Blind out.
He tore them apart in the first half, he needs to improve on his final ball for sure but that will come with more experience.
Martial in form is unplayable, it's simple as.
The same can be said for Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan. It's scary to think how good we can be.
