Bellamy is a far better player than Lennon will ever be.His problem has always been in his head but he's a natural goalscorer.Lennon has pace but so what? By all accounts so has our very own Ravel Morrison, and a few more tricks too. Lennon is at the right place

Interesting that Lennon's outperforming him in what's been Bellamy's best ever start to a season then, I'd have thought.

Then id suggest thats your inability to see genuine quality rather than a reflection on the player himself...the fact Lennons English probably has something to do with it though where your concerned.

Bellamy's had a superb start to the season with him contributing pletyful with his goals, assits and being involved in everything mancity do.

I'd say Bellamy's just edging it atm and i agree with some others that he is actually the better player for now.

It's got everything to do with the hype he gets and little to do with the quality he has. Abgonlahor, Young, Downing, Richards, Lennon. Yes they are all decent players, some better than others but all get the hype and none will live up to it.

He underperformed because he was being hyped up when he was 17/18, very few players deliver consistently at that age not even Cristiano Ronaldo did.

I find it highly unlikely that Lennon is going to go backwards now, not as long as he doesn't leave Spurs to go to a club where he wont play week in week out.

As for lack of quality I always find the measuring stick to be whether a player can cause us problems and Lennon has, he did 2 years ago in the FA Cup, he did again last season and this season he's been doing it consistently against the rest of the league.

If Valencia hadn't of done as well as he had I reckon we'd be in for Lennon this summer (I'd still love for it to happen but it's unlikely if Valencia keeps up his current form)
 
Valencia (imo) is probably a better player than Lennon right now, he seems to have more aspects to his game than Lennon in such. Valencia is a natural athelete and has got tremendous balance much like Evra and his work rate is superb and has pace to burn and another added incentive that Valencia provides us is with his goals that Lennon rarely does.

Don't get me wrong, still think Lennon is amongst the best 3 wingers in the PL.

I'd argue that Lennon is just as quick as Valencia and judging solely on Valencia's performances thus far for us Lennon uses his pace to a greater effect than Valencia does, obviously games like last night shows that Valencia has it in his locker it just needs to be shown more regularly which fingers crossed it will given more time

As for goals Valencia only has 2 more league goals than Lennon so it's unfair to say that Lennon rarely scores especially given the lack of goals Valencia scored for Wigan during his period there

I'd also say that Lennon has more trickery about him and is more likely to beat a defender than Valencia but again hopefully more games like last night are to come from Valencia

I would agree with you though that Valencia and Lennon are the two best wingers in the league

Bellamy - 6 goals and 6 assists.

Lennon - 3 goals and 8 games.

Bellamy just edges it with productivity but then you'd expect him to with him playing up front more often.

There's obviously not been much between them and they're performing as consistently well as ever before, if not better.

Think it has more to do with how highly you value technique more than anything, and if you can't see he's been fantastic this season then I think you're letting your past judgements of him affect your current one.

Benfica winger Angel De Maria is reported to have rejected Manchester City after the two clubs agreed a £40million fee.
The 21-year-old is attracting interest from Europe's big guns following some fine performances for Benfica this season and City are reported to have made the first move.

Benfica were forced to accept City's bid of £40million but the player has rejected the move and wants to stay with the Portuguese giants until at least the end of the season.

A source close Benfica has been quoted as saying: "City offered the amount required to trigger a release clause in Di Maria's contract but the boy is loyal to Benfica.

"But everyone at Benfica accepts that he will move on sooner rather than later."

And why Wednesday morning, why not Monday morning? If he's to have a medical then the clubs had to have agreed a fee and he's either agreed personal terms or is close to doing so, neither of which should take three days.

Mate, I told you I am not ITK. I dont know anything, I heard something and I posted it. As I have said already, this is bound to be another bullshit rumor.
 
If thats the source JW, he's normally spot on, he can get his dates mixed up though. He told me about the Hiddink and Liverpool connection in July.
 
Over here some time ago, the someone posted the same thing about Aguero...claiming that someone saw his girlfriend searching a house in manchester.
